^True that man, this just means I have to work a little bit harder and collect the funds my damn self. Good thing CPA's exist, that is the way I am heading starting...now.:)

I'll post my results in a couple of weeks if I failed or succeeded.

You make a lot of assumptions about our sites without seeing them. You should think before you speak.

    Welcome to DP, troll. :p

Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster. Add another one to the YPN termination list, I got the bad news Friday as well. Thought it was finally worthwhile to register here to get in on this heated topic, it's really been on my mind lately. I don't have much to add though, you guys seem to have hashed through everything pretty thoroughly already. I read through all the posts and it was like Friday all over again, but I'm sort of glad to see that I'm not alone.

    Came across this post too........

Uhhhh, I guess DP doesn't filter out profanity on threads? Never seen a forum that didn't do that. Incidentally, gpdbiz feel free to post your addy here or PM me, I'd be glad to pay you a visit you illiterate FOOL. Guys like this are why I don't join forums, they just can't help hijacking threads and bashing everyone, there's one on every forum. Sigh.

Nonetheless, I'll definitely be tuning into this thread to see how things unfold. I too am in the "let's see if YPN actually pays me" holding pattern. Not a fun place to be as you all know. All we can do is hang in there.

Add one more to the banned list. YPN performance was going down anyways for my site. It really does hurt but I thank DP that I learned a lot here to promote CPA.

Bah. I voluntarily kicked YPN to the curb a while back, and they still haven't terminated me yet. YPN needs to stop hiring retarded employees.

Anyone still want to defend their "still in Beta" status? :)

Amen, brother. I got the boot in early December. Honestly, I'm happy I did. YPN while paying well is a total disgrace to online advertising. There system sukcs more then anything.

    Adsense FTW!

I just emailed the local home improvement company here in Michigan to give them a friendly reminder that their ads were showing up on tons of Myspace sites. In some cases, 5 ads on 1 page. They must be spending thousands per day on non-converting "window replacement" ads showing up on myspace resource sites...

I now feel as a "non-publisher" that it's my duty to let the ill-informed advertisers in my area know exactly how their dollars are being spent... I mean wasted.

yeah Chili I was getting those ads for Window Replacements but I was not even targetting those ads. Just shows you how messed up Yahoo is.

Misery sure loves company. This wave of termination has sparked some really irate attitudes among webmasters. Everyone is blaming everyone else instead of putting efforts into finding a better way.

If you are mad at YPN, take it to YPN. If you have a legitimate quality site that provides your visitor value and was terminated from YPN, then you know it's not just arcades and myspace site that is getting termed. Stop assuming that arcades or myspace type sites are the problem. If that is the case, all arcades and myspace sites will eventually be banned from the program.

The problem is in the relevency of the ads. If people are clicking on mattresses, roofing, and cookies ads on my sports fan site, I know I will get termed for low conversion.

i hear you kempo. chili... you should start your own company informing advertisers how and where their ads are being displayed / wasted. maybe you can actually get paid for your "caring" attitude. i would think you would apply your energy and time into making money, so there is an idea for you.

if an advertiser is spending thousands of dollars on non converting ads, they are going to know it. if they dont, well, then they are just plain stupid. i know exactly how much every single ad dollar returns to me each and every single day on every single network and every single offer.

I emailed an email and got some generic copy/paste email message saying they reviewed and blah blah blah.

Didn't answer any of my questions I made in my appeal.

    Whatever.

It will never come out of beta at this rate. Yahoo can't even serve relevant ads and is terminating publishers left and right.

In general, PPC ads are risky including adsense. The safest bet is CPA and direct advertising although it takes more work.
And you don;t get $2 a click either.

LOL! This is great. YPN is doing a diservice to advertisers and publishers alike. They deserve to have their asses kicked for how they treat publishers, blaming them for poor conversions. Get enough angry webmasters informing advertisers about how their money is being wasted due to YPN's poor targeting and put some hurt back on YPN.

You should set up a forum where people can post where they find poorly targeted YPN ads and encourage all the readers to report it to the advertisers.

Disclaimer: I was terminated for poor traffic in an earlier round of terminations. Conclusion: YPN = f-wits.

I was banned a few days ago (posted earlier in this thread). I was surprised as I had been in contact with YPN on a bunch of occasions and had even removed a couple of high traffic sites where the clicks were not converting for the advertisers.
So I checked my balance and it showed that it was pending payment via direct deposit.
Today it is in my bank account!!! I though I was going to have to wait 90 days?
Anyway, they didn't take anything out either. I received the full amount.

I guess I will have to wait the 90 days for the $2k in my account from the first 3 weeks of April. Glad I cut back on advertising my sites!

Hey ArticPro - The yahoo ads on your websites still work?
You sure they terminated you? Or are you running someone elses code now?
