There is nothing new.... But, you did forget Video Marketing.

Anyways, still the same... Focus on building High PR Backlinks(AUTHORITY) and Unique Quality Content.

 

Pligg is a waste of time. They may give you short term benefits, but nothing sticks or last to help you long term.

 

article submission, blog posting, bookmarking, directory, link building, rss, hubpages, squidoo, classified, micro blogging, link wheel, pixel submission.


Please add one or two concept or techniques or tools related to seo which are not above.

One of the things in the social space I'm seeing is what some call stumbleclub or stumbleme... you stumble my site and I'll stumble yours.


microformats is my favourite new one. they are very easy to do as well. you don't get much benefit out of them at the moment but there are already a few search engines that catalog pages with them on.

Promote your websites in famous social networking sites targeting your field of people or group. Be always active and update with your profile. You will get immediate traffic and conversions through this, but do it in a proper way.

The long term answer is just to use the established techniques that are allready out there, looking for new ways to do SEO is just a waste of time, that is until something useful comes along then it wont be long before everyone is doing it anyway!

Just work hard at it, the more you put in the more you get out.

I suppose making a video on youtube with your link water marked on the video is a nice technique

 

You should try to do on page optimization and off page optimization well in order to get high rankings. No other methods are going to help you in rank well.

Of course first you need to do the basic onsite seo.

 

As said previously, the best you can do is to be the best in doing the old techniques. I have my hand full of work only with old techniques. New Techniques are always welcome, but I invest lot of money in my products and in my website, I don't want to lose time with experimentation.
