    @billaaa777,
No one said you couldn't voice your opinion, you can and did as did YMC. The point made was YMC gave an opinion as you did and did NOT "attack" you.
As far as having the time to post, I post from my office or home whenever I feel like it. Unlike you I am in a position to do what I want when I want.

Gosh, how nice that you can state your opinion but feel that the rest of us are not allowed to state ours.

Sure, there are quite a few other folks whining today that they can no longer use these forums as their personal marketplace without contributing anything other than their presence. The free ride has apparently ended and you don't like it.

You came to the Copywriting section for perhaps the first time today. You wanted the writers, who are actually contributing to DP, to side with you. We didn't. You should have moved on. You didn't.

For crying out loud. Three stupid likes and you could go back to business as usual. You've spent more time whining about the new rules than it would have taken to fulfill the new requirement.

I retired at 45 and I am writing right now from my luxurious ocean front condo in Pattaya Thailand that has sea views that stretch for 50 miles. Where are you writing your post from?

It has nothing to do with the likes, in fact, that kind of benefits me.

The big problem is that the people who buy services that cost $10, $20, or $50, can NO longer post ads for what they need.

As I said previously, I have hired coders, website designers, artists, WordPress specialists and many other service provides at DP that possess skills that I do not have.

Previously, I would post ads to find them, which I can still do by upgrading my membership.

But, the little guy that comes here is NEVER going to pay $135 to get a membership to post an advertisement for something that they are going to spend $20 on.

I have been checking many of the marketplaces today, and all of them are way down in the number of people posting ads to BUY something.

So, that is going to hurt financially EVERY person that provides a service at DP.

If you do not find work here, or you do not ever hire anybody, then that is not important to you.

But, it is important to me, and many other people.

All you can really do is voice your concern(s) and opinion(s) to those people that are in charge and can take your point of view into consideration and make any necessary changes if need be. None of us here are the decision makers.

If you want members who agree with you to voice their concern(s) and opinion(s) as well, then simply ask them to do so and point them to a thread where they can post.

These numbers are down everywhere, not just here. I also sell memberships to sites and those numbers are down as well. Brick and mortar businesses feel the crunch in January and February as well. It is January. January and February are always the months where the numbers dip simply because money is tight. Credit cards come due from the holiday spending. It's also the beginning of a new year. There is always the rush at the end of the previous year so they can start strong with a new project when the new year starts. Come mid February into March, numbers rise again.

Why can't they, because they're new? NEWSFLASH! Even under the 'old' system new people were limited in what they could do until they reached a certain post count, including sending PMs and having a signature. I don't know why you keep whining about this when it's been this way for ever. It's not knocking you out of a blessed thing. These kinds of stipulations have ALWAYS been in place.

What are you on about? I haven't upgraded anything and I can post ads on the Content Creation forum. Is my access limited somewhere else that I don't know about or are you just pulling stuff out of your ass to whine about?

No, it isn't. Because some of us who take what we do seriously realize that NO website is the Be All End All of landing clients. We put on our BIG FOLK PANTIES and branch out to other markets and even invest in our VERY OWN WEBSITES to find clients. The fact that YOU have limited YOURSELF to DP Forums for landing clients has no bearing on how anyone else fares financially.

And while we're on the subject of finances, might I point out to you that this free service you're whining about is costing somebody. There's an entire team of behind the scenes people who are investing time, money, expertise and effort into ensuring all this is made available to us and all they're asking in return is for you to suck it up and quit biting the hand that you proclaim is feeding you by carrying on like a child who can't figure out his new toy. You always have the option of removing yourself from a situation that is no longer beneficial to you and, considering that option and your views you have expressed so far, why in the hell ARE you still here?

Maybe you mistook their offer of cheese to go with your whine for an attack.

EDIT: You have NOT lost any iTrader ratings. They are in your profile under "Marketplace".

Well what i would suggest is to stop complaining. Something was necessary to contain the amount of scrap that was being generated by the spammers. Now that it has been implemented lets cooperate and move ahead. Contribution to the community is the only way out, and am happy for it.
And I would request every reputed member that do like posts generously where you feel its good. There are many old members who have contributed selflessly but are now restricted. It will help encourage them. :)
