New Submission Trend

Hello all. I am seeing an increase in the number of submissions using the domain as the title instead of the name of the business or web site.

The link text would be submitted as- domain.com, all lower case. These submissions are coming from some of the larger SEO firms.

Could it be that these firms are now fearing the over-use of anchor text, even if it is the name of the business?

Thanks for the input. I have to see if they were new sites.

Yes varying the anchor text is important, otherwise there is the potential for getting penalized for over optimization.

It hardly looks natural to have 100% of your links with the same anchor text.

I've noticed that a lot of the natural linking to my sites are simply my domain name with the dot com. My guess is that some of the better SEO firms know that you need links with just the domain name to look natural.

In addition, the larger SEO firms know about branding as well. As a result, they will attempt to build a brand through linking.

"better SEO firms know that you need links with just the domain name to look natural"

We all knew this, but it may be more important now than ever.

It will be important in ranking and it will be a plus factor but it won't be the only determining factor in the rankings in the SERPs.
