Well, why did he took it down so quickly, what is he afraid of? His domains are still online anyway... You know... I truly think that the answer to the "did google/other PPC programs pay you/how much have you made?" questions which prolly and obviously he didn't like, made him not to answer all the others because he couldn't answer these most important two, I personally think that the answer would be that he made a LOT and that's only if everything went how some of you guys think it went saying how genius he is, but in reality it might be totally different, as I said, he prolly made some money, nothing over a million - but a lot. As far as it goes with actually getting the cash, I think right here he got screwed, again he might have gotten or will get some money, but I sense the problems he's dealing with regarding recieving payments right as we speak, the frustrasion prolly got to him now from not getting the buck he wanted so he isn't motivated enough to answer our questions and show off. Nothing is that flawless, he made the same money in 3 weeks online with perhaps some 3 months planning and building, that an average website can earn in those 3 months and 3 weeks being online all the time. And most legit PPC programs that send cheques, etc... every month, will surely find out that he spammed and spammed that big, and will deactivate his account b4 he recieves the cash coz after all, spam marketing is prohibited by all legit advertising solutions websites, and it's easy to find out about it, especially when it makes this kind of headlines... A lot to think about regarding this issue, but one thing is certain, this guy ain't gonna buy a private caribbean island anytime soon.
Yeah, but nobody really believed he would come up with the goods. If he's smart, he doesn't want competition. This whole "billion pages" incident has probably proved to him that he's not as smart as he thought he was. I imagine he wanted to keep a much lower profile.
And the last thing a black-hat person does is tells how he does it, and that's what we all want to know!!!
These "black hat" methods are used to generate income. They figure about 6 months life until being banned, but by then they have made $100,000. Then they just do it over again.. wash, rinse, repeat.
Yeah but, don't forget that with each feat like tha, they push teh SE's even harder to battle against them, and evetually they will run out of options, I'm not saying algos will be perfect, but good enough to literally bust blacksocks on sight. Very possible, he would've gotten the same money with skills like his if he would make a normal website and promote it, he prolly just wanted to see whether he can do it based on the knowledge he has, which is so ****ing stupid people, he alone nearly ruined google coz of his little self tests. He should become a priest, this will help him.
Some people spam Polish web directories, within a week one spammer got 200k+ links indexed (spammed from theplanet.com). Some moderators deleted this entries, but by now google still has 178000 links indexed. http://www.google.com/search?q=%22Strona+zawiera+informacje+na+temat%22 And these are the results of just one round of directory spamming: One every week should give 2000000 backlinks within three months - unless google in the meantime bans spammy directories (something they have't done until now).
I am not sure if this link has been posted, but Matt Cuts tries to find ideas to better develop the GSE http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/feedback-webspam/#postcomment
These blackhats... I'd put it this way, being a blackhat is dangerous since the black color sucks in all the heat rays from the sun (they might get busted, coz they draw too much attention), if it's winter then snow will fall on their hat and it'll become white (meaning: it's cold in winter = nobody pays attention to them and that's what they look for, so they don't have motivation to show off and break limits), and if they take the hat off - they can't be without a hat (they oughta to choose some kind of SEO tactic, if they wanna continue doing online business), so they must put a new hat on, at least a gray one Owned your a$$e$ blackhats Hehehe, just for fun...
One question Adsense would pay him money at the end of month or not ? Because spamming is violation of tos of adsense.
Trust me, Google Adsense is the first and not the last PPC program that he used that will find out which account spammed like that and is connected to the "bad data push" and will deactivate it.
Remember guys, Google made a percentage of everything that this spammer made! And Google will make a percentage of everything that this spammer will make! Most Importantly, there are many made for adsense sites, and Google doesnt seem to serious about them! Also regarding the indexing issue, that's Google's mistake that it indexed his site! It was his site he could've died making subdomains for it, google shouldn't have indexed it in the first place! So IMHO, adsense will definitely pay him, maybe he runs some other respectable site or a bunch of such sites and so the splurge in the income wouldnt be that noteworthy! As again, I also found him promoting some PPC on the website as also on his post here! Hmmmm this sounds awkward lol! Just my 2cents! Abhishek
I don't think they can't notice a change this big in his adsense balance so it's noteworthy as far as I can see, no matter what other website he might run, he surely felt that he comes up short with it, so he bombed google like that - I think it might have brought him 10 times more cash, and google can track things you know...
Thats not my Point, ofcourse Google can track him down! But I don't think Google would bother as long as he is brining in cash for them! Abhishek
I dont think adsense will ban him at all, loads of sites are banned from the index including some of mine which have had adsense on them and they have never been banned from adsense. He made a site and decided to put loads of subdomains on it he wasnt directory spamming google or any other search engine. How is what he done even spam?
I've haven't seen Shoemoney chime in on this thread, but it would be interesting to hear Jeremy's take on all this as he often has insightful things to add - I sent him a PM.
Not much more we can do but report spammish domains and let google tweak the algos to not let this happen again.
Well, let's not forget what he brought on google, I'm sure they aren't too happy about all his subdomains right now... How is what he done even spam? It is spam alright, he had so many identical pages with slight variations, did you read how he's done that? Go here: http://merged.ca/monetize/flat/how-to-get-billions-of-pages-indexed-by-Google.html You'll see... And don't forget he did break guidelines with his sub-sub domains, breaking the "1 page indexed per site†delay for new domains, so it's not legit anyway. Edit: Yeah forumer, that's the point, but we also have to push google, they are sooo lazy that even Matty C. asks for suggestions from anon surfers in his beer blog (hehe, that's a funny line, isn't it ) Another quality edit: WOOOOHOOOO!!! I finally reached the Grunt forum rank And we're getting this thread to the 600 posts mark with the next guy to post
Hmmmmmm... kinda rude to invite questions then not answer any of them. Perhaps they'd like ask and answer their own questions. Dave
