Agreed... once things settle down with the servers and fixing bugs, then we can focus on better colors/fonts, etc.
i got the link like this: https://forums.digitalpoint.com//advertising.digitalpoint.com/advertiser?action=ads Two slash //.
I think it would be a good idea if the user had a choice to use the new/old template. I think I would choose to use the old template as that is the one I understand.... besides the old template already exists, its just a matter of setting up the template swap option and let the member decide on which they like best....
Hi, can I ask where can I see the current clock/time of digital point. With the old template, it was at the bottom, in the footer area. Now, I can't seem to find it. It does help in tracking some things..
Each user's individual time zone should be used, so when you view the posts their time can't be related to DP's time (unless you're in the same time zone).
Perhaps that member doesn't own a watch or clock on his computer is broken. To be honest, I never used that clock for anything. When I owned a forum, I removed that clock in the footer myself.
The forum has changed software from vB to XF, so it's not just a case of making the old theme available, but it'd need to be ported across; which is what they've already done to some extent with the color scheme. Obviously it's a big change and will take some getting used to at first, but I actually like the new forum (though it probably helps that I'm already a member of quite a few forums using XF).
Just small things, like correspondence. Like knowing the specific time, a previous client is online -- to organize and track a communication pattern, etc.., specially in the marketplace. I guess I just got used to looking at the time at the footer and using it to track and timed a communication from/to someone.
So far everything looks good to me. Nice job Shawn with all the work that went into the changes - the constant improvement and moving forward is always appreciated. I like the new look, it feels clean. Like with all new things it will take a little while to get used to the new look, but I am sure in a couple weeks I will barely remember what it looked like before.
It will take some time to get used to, for now i don't quite like it and find it harder to navigate. I would like to point out few bugs i found on Domain Marketplace: - I can't create a sale thread for .info domains, because it's saying invalid domain. It happens with every .info domains. - Someone bidded on my auction and the domain is sold, but i don't see who bought it, it's not listed on anywhere of the auction, i don't know how to contact him, or if he will ever make payment. Also it would have been better if you let sellers with 100% rate to allow posting domains without having to verify, because some of us sellers post more than 5 threads daily, it's a bit annoying to do that each time, especially on dynadot.com, but that's just a suggestion.
.info domains should show as a valid domain now. What is the URL of the auction that someone bid on it? Disallowing domain ownership verification isn't going to happen, sorry. It's fairly easy...
