Guess it depends where you are living? But i never had issues loading DP in the 7 years i have been a members on DP. Anther Bug? https://marketplacedev.digitalpoint.com/ Digital Point - Error The requested page could not be found.
Yes for me the load times tend to be slower from time to time seems to depend on the workload of the server quite alot
Nope, just not a valid URL. As far as speed, things are probably about as fast as they were with vBulletin currently... but there's a massive reindexing going on on the backend, so I suspect when that's done (it might be as long as 24 hours), things should be quite a bit faster.
Ok thanks for the update will seee if its faster tomorrow at the time. I also take it since the update you have gone the sitepoint/flippa way of buying and selling, as mostly everything in buy/sell/trade is more a less directed to Marketplace to open new threads.
No, we just need more control over all the crap people were posting. The new marketplace gives us more control over quality and duplicates. And other things like Sites and Domains must have ownership verified before they can be listed now (both for fraud prevention and control over people listing things multiple times).
Error calling GET https://www.googleapis.com/adsense/v1/adclients?alt=json: (403) Users account has been disapproved.
Well that error is coming from Google directly. Are you using the right Google account with a (working) AdSense account bound to it?
Shawn you've done a great job moving the site over to XF. I personally feel this change will only allow DP to grow and do even more bigger things now. Well time to explore thing site a bit more - Marc
You'd guess wrong. Digital Point is now using XenForo. It offers a more modern experience with faster load time, all while using less resources. It is also a lot more secure than vBulletin and easier to customize. You should see a lot more improvement and enhancements yet to come, which were not possible with vBulletin.
Not sure if its been discussed before but there seems to be lot of problems with this thread. https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/the-proxy-discussion-thread.399487/page-1014#post-18399064 Seems whole bunch of posts have been lost. Is is a very active thread.
I have created an ad here and i got email that my ad was reviewed. When i click the link thru my email i get an error page. Check it. Anyway it will b great to open a new thread where users can post bugs and errors. Site looks great. Good luck.
The posts aren't lost, there's an internal numbering issue that's being resolves now (it's going to take awhile since the system is going through each and every post in the database). Anything with a thread ID less than 250,000 should already be fixed. What was the URL that you got the error at?
In some ways I like, in others I do not; I am not a young kiddie, so it is makes it much harder on the eyes trying to make out the text that appears small, faded...
