I see that DP changed from VB to Xenforo maybe because that been told VB is getting worse in terms of support and latest version not hitting out very good customers but why Xenforo ? if the other rumor true that might close down you then waste time in making this site more better one, i can see reason for new fresh start etc but i would hold out first but on plus side well done good work.
Shawn you never cease to amaze me. You have done an incredible job with the changes. Clean and fast. Ya just can't beat that even if I am still just a Peon!
Thanks... You are only a Peon because the system has to update you after your first visit to new site (process checks hourly for people who have visited in the last 48 hours).
What an easy way to get Like, just say something nice to the owner, AGAINS'T THE RULES, BAN 'DIGITALPOINT' !
This is what typically people said here about the "3 Likes" rule: It's very hard to get Likes (before he got it) and it's very easy to get Likes (after he got it).
Do you know why I said it? Look for what 'cricket' got the like . Some of us get like for something useful, not like you .
lol...you actually posted something useful...woohooo..congratulations... you must be really proud of yourself..
The new CMS seems very good there must have been a huge amount of coding involved. The new market place is great and unique to the site & load times are still fast
You can't see their recent activity though and what things they have liked. I was looking to see if someone liking a useless post was a one-off or something they abused, but was unable to see their recent activity so as far as I know, there is no way to see their liking activity. Is there? Edit to add: I guess I don't really understand why and what users are allowed to block other users from seeing. I can understand blocking personal stuff, like the information tab, but I don't really understand the logic behind blocking others from seeing what they have posted or their marketplace activity. I am reading things correctly that I can't see their marketplace activity or reviews? How does that make sense that people with poor transaction feedback can simply not show it to others?
@browntwn If someone is on the up and up and has nothing to hide, then I would assume that their profile would be open. However if what the're doing on here isn't always strictly kosher and is somewhat nefarious.....then?
After receiving some spam (not the usual - "u wanna bi mi webshite" or similar - but someone trying to get "personal", I guess) I made my profile private (except to those I follow), rather than waste my time deleting idiot comments. I never thought about the fact people won't be able to see market related details. Until now. Maybe I should make it viewable to avoid coming across as nefarious?
You can make it so people can view your profile, but not post messages on your profile or start conversations with you.
I opened it up anyway. Oops, my profile that is lol. I wondered if digitalpoint would considered adding some further privacy options (such as for the marketplace tab, so that could be visible while other profile tabs aren't). I guess this could resolve the issue that browntwn brought up?
