why dp block users from creating thread in marketplace? even creating link exchange thread is not allowed.
The marketplace is for established users, which always was the case. Just the measurement of what makes an established user changed. It's focus on quality rather than quantity now.
Seems post #s in threads are out of whack. https://forums.digitalpoint.com/threads/what-was-your-first-pc-game.1451160/page-64#post-18400638 See that for example. (whoops seems it's an older thread, but anyways it has two #1272's and #1273's)
we can track whether our pm is read or not. previously, we can put read-receipt on our pm. does dp allows message tracking?.
Yep... it's a known issue that's being fixed on the backend... It's a slow process though, and it has to go through every post in every thread and reorder everything internally (it's done all threads with a thread ID less than 885476 so far).
Why was DP switched to Xenforo? As I recall, there is a pending court case against them by the vBulletin owners.
So? There are pending court cases against Samsung and Apple, would that make you not by a cell phone from them?
I was told by someone who is very close to Mike from XF that he took a new full time job and will no longer be working on this site. So what will the next platform be?
Unless Mike told you this himself, it sounds like a rumor to me... Either way, a even in a worst case scenario where Mike died, a product still survives if one person working on it no longer does.
I am sorry that I am the bringer of bad news. Please know I converted 3 of my sites to XF, and still have 3 more unused licenses. The source that told me this information is REAL. XF will no longer be developed. The last step to this ordeal is will who will own it, VB or XF. If XF retains ownership it will never be developed. If VB gets ownership obviously it will be a IMPEX import. So I am truly confused as to why this migration took place.
