I have a new site launched about 10 days ago. I am active to 6-7 international forums where i have about 7-800 posts. I want to put signatures to my new site from these forums. I am little scared: if I post these signatures and suddenly i have 7-800 links to my site, it's possible to have problems ?
Depends. Some forums do not update your old posts with your new signature. Its possible for a new site who gets a lot of links suddenly to get sandboxed yes.
Are the forms no-follow? If so, they won't count towards your link popularity. also check to see the posts and threads for the forums are indexed in Google. Sometimes forums block threads and posts using robots.txt.
All posts are indexed and the signatures are dofollow. When i change the signature, all post will have the new signature.
Why not try a softly softly approach - add link to one forum signature, wait a month or so and then add to another. Also - others may correct me - but I believe that you will only get the benefit of these links once Google recrawls the appropriate pages - that is it won't suddenly give you credit for links to all the archived pages or pages that it indexed a few months back? So you MAY not get an immediate rush of links. Can anyone confirm that this is so?
No, Gooogle discounts links coming from one place, you dont get as much benefit, but you also dont get as much penalty (if any)
