New Site With A Very Limited Marketing Budget (100-200 monthly)- Is Adwords Worth It?

    Hi guys,

So I'm helping out with the marketing of a very new site with a very limited marketing budget (around about 100 - 200 a month)

I know that this is not really enough to make an adwords campaign work but is there anywhere it could make sense? Say for example one or two days of pushing a month.

An example I'm thinking of is that we are going to have a proper 'launch' once the site is looking good. would it be worth using adwords for that day to help with the traffic push or would that money be better spent on prizes which we could then use as incentives for people to come to our store.

Thanks heaps for all your input.

This is something I'm doing at my deskjockey job with mixed results. But I agree it's a worthy endeavor

What's the best affiliate network for a new site with minimal sales. I know shareasale is not suitable for this purpose.

You can use Adwords in a limited way to get a feel for your customers and initial traffic boost, and sales, and if you make profit then you can either reinvest in your Adwords campaign to produce more sales or you can mix it with other free traffic methods including the traditional SEO stuff.

For networks you can take a look also at cj, google, linkshare.
Also the idea to put a prize ... but you don't have traffic to see it ... not good.
So my advice is go with adwords and after you have the traffic go with prizes.
Also consider getting someone to help you with your advertising campaign. What do you want to promote?

I'd go with spending the money or time on SEO. It'll last way longer then ad campaigns which you can always implement later.

you can add long tail keywords, which cost you little.
