I got a new site up called TheBuxTruth and I don't know where to start.

I'm running Wordpress, got it all setup today, but I have no clue where I can start building links. Are there WP plugins that can help me?

What do you mean by exchange information? Exchange links with them or is there more to that?

Start with bookmarking your pages (digg is a must do)
the easiest way to do it is to add a script from addthis.com to your pages and click from your pages to the bookmark sites.

I think that you should just write and publish content for now, nobody will exchange links with a blog that has only 2 published articles. You should submit the site to the search engines as soon as possible, publish content, and then worry about links.

    hi,

Yes, wordpress plugin really helps you. You can start in social bookmarking most specially in social dofollow sites.

You can't even ask for link exchange because you have only 2 articles. Write more ;)

It sure might be early to look for links from others. I think it is good that you asked early on, in order to get a feel for what your priority should be at this time. That is way better than waiting months, and then asking the same question you were wondering before.

Concentrate on writing articles first. Write about 10 great "guide" articles to relevant stuff to your topic first. Then you can start promoting your stuff. If you only have 2 articles, even though you get some visitors to your blog, it will be hard to get them to stay on or to subscribe as there is not much on your blog currently.

You start by creating a business plan. Build it and they will come doesn't work. Good luck with that.

Would you just start building a house with no plan? Bet that would be the kind of house that would never resell.

You will need content. Haven't you heard content is king ? Write atleast 15 or more quality posts which will interest users and then start worrying about getting them indexed and linked back. Even if you somehow were to get alot of backlinks to your website now it wouldn't help it since there is no real content there which search engines could point to.

First of all, your site is nowhere to be found... 404 error....

Hence I cannot suggest anything, but in general what you wanna do when you are starting a new website/blog is adding contents... high quality contents to be exact...

Then, start looking for 3 - 4 "good forums" (highly related to your website/blog, high traffic, high PR, good Alexa rank) if you haven't already. Register to all of them and start to get involved, be active, post high quality responses and/or threads, mention about your website/blog every now and then when suitable, look for "review websites" sub forum and post your website/blog there, write enticing signature linked to your website/blog.

Do that forum activity for about 3 months, I am sure your website/blog will get nice amount of traffic. Then start the usual (directory submission, article submission, blog commenting, etc etc)

    hope it helps...

PS: get your website back online ASAP...
