Just wondering when everyone thinks i should monetize my site? Hollywood Headache The site is about 10 days old and we are averaging about 300 to 400 uniques a day and about 1000 page views a day. I am asking because I think Shoemoney said a while ago that he generally monetizes when he is getting about 1000 page views a day. i kinda think that it might slow the growth of the site a little because people hate adds... so where is the balance? Should i hold out longer? What do you think? -matt
Wow...this is a wicked site! I actually enjoyed reading it! I noticed that your posting schedule is incredible, you are doing like 4-5 posts per day! Making money from a site is always the primary goal....but personally here is what I do, I watch my site until it gets 1000 hits per day. Than I forget about the stats and slowly start placing adsense ads. But this is only the beginning, Affiliates are the way to big money, Adsense is good, but Affiliate will make you rich.
Let it hit the thousands and then monetize. But ads never hurt the visitor - ads are information too - telling people what is available.
Thanks a lot canadian, i have been working hard to make it the best! There are so many shitty celeb sites out there. I put all spare time into it. i have been trying to do 7+ good posts a day.
Put an adsense box between post and comments. As you allready have 1000 pageviews per day, this may earn you some bucks for hosting, etc.
yo ur site is ABSOLUTELY amazing. the posts are interesting, and provoke such controversy within ppl to keep coming back. And your site is easy to digest and something worth surfing to again and again. I wouldn't recommend flooding your site with ads, but start with a few tasteful ones here and there. Usually when I go to these things, I'm always cautious of there being spyware and spam, so this is a nice breather to kno a fellow digitalpoint member made this
