url: Web Site Hosting Directory I really try to target lower competitive yet still competitive terms mainly through this site. Any comments, questions, reviews, ponders, anything at all? Any on/off page optimization tips to improve efficiency in search engines and such? It's pretty much indexed by MSN (all pages), Y (1-2 pages I think), Google (all pages) and I'm like 320th for "web site hosting directory" but I haven't checked much. Thanks everybody for your guys' help.
Ok well I had a look at the website and the page doesnt fit my screen. I would change the width. I have noticed that you are using adsense for advertising. Some questions arised? Why do you use the color red? Why dont you blend them in just like the rest of the colors on your website. When I click on the dedicated section, cheap and shared hosting section, I see lots of banners. Why isnt the adsense banner at the top? BTW I would suggest to leave some space between the banners. Not only is it easier to read, navigate but people will click on banners, ads faster when there is more white space around it. For the overall website I would try to use a max of two maybe three different font sizes.
When I look at the site all I see is google ads. Looks like you started out making a site to show google ads and then put the content in after.
You could use some images as well so it's not so dull, liven it up a little and make those ads blend in, they look terrible.
too little info on the front page. no offense but my eye just wandered around the website and wanted to leave. nothing to keep getting my attention. surfup
In response to the red text, I've increased CTR over 10% with red text. Which ads scare people off? Large rectangle? Image ads? I'll probably add normal images and info on front page. Thanks.
I am put off by the Google ads (large rectangles) enough not to browse to any other pages besides the main one
You asked for it ...so, I took a look at your site... here we go: * Maybe you want urgently take a look at wording above the Google ads on the bottom... for me, it seems to be a clear violation of TOS... ("Featured Web Host" or "Featured Budget Web Hosting Company" etc) * As someone already said, the banners look quite messy at the moment... give them some air * You are promoting a gaming site as your partner... for me, it does not fit at all... I'm not sure if Google likes gaming sites or not - maybe not * Why not configure alternative URL or alternative color for your Google ads? (those ugly Public Service Ads popping from time to time) * You should, in my opinion, focus more on the content than the ads... some helpful hosting- and SEO -articles etc... give people some value Hope this helps
