I just started this site recently and it's still in the process of getting put together but would appreciate feedback. Do you like the design? What about the front page - what is needed? Is it user-friendly? Thanks in advance...
Not bad, I like it. Though one aspect of the layout that I'd change would be the "Profile" tab and the ones next to it at the top, give them the same look as the "My User Area" tab, maybe with a slightly different color.
I think the link text within your content needs to be a different color then the rest, otherwise how do i know that i can click it for more information? On your left menu the the hover effect makes the links difficult to read I like the top menu bar, and logo, looks nice. On the right side of it however the 3 links for "profile" "register" and "login" have bad edges, make them smooth curves, or change them to boxes similar to the other links at the top. When i go to the shopping area there are a couple listings. The information displayed below is a little chaotic. Perhaps only give a title, and description there, maybe allow rating to be shown. The details page should be more formatted, IE: "Address: Corner of Hwy 42 & Market St. Egg Harbor, WI Website: www.decoratorsgallery.com Description: Has the largest selection of U.S. and Canadian artists in Door County, Wisconsin. If you can't find it at A Decorator's Art Gallery, they will attempt to find it for you. Find Batemen, Redlin, Peterson, Doolittle, Hanks, Capser, Barnhouse, White, Duncan, Bush, Olson, and Door County Artists." For SEO: Meta tags are the same on every page, either change them or dont use them. Logo link alt tag should have a main keyword phrase, i'd add a title tag to it too Anyhow It's a nice looking site, good luck
Thanks for the valuable feedback. I'll take a look at those things too. I definitely plan on improving the meta tags - just getting the general layout all put together. Definitely agree with both replys that the profile login and register images need to be adjusted to fit the design of the site. Thanks again.
i took out the images in the top right corner and made them links on the side nav. also made alt and title tags on the logo in the top left corner and will continue to work on things. thanks again for the feedback
just adjusted meta tags for home and sub pages. I'm going to break up the sections for name, address, phone number, etc. too. any other suggestions?
Very nice site. Only a couple suggestions... 1. Activate the rollovers on your main navigation at the top. 2. After the search box, have a "go" or "search" or something. It's not obvious what to do. good luck with the site
site is a bit too wide. Have the "Door County, Wisconsin..." written with more art, but other than that looks great!
I like the site but I think at the top of the site I would have an area where a person could choose an area of interest of vacation that they are intersted - something to give them an overveiw of the possibilities of what they might find at this site in a glance - remembering that you only have so much time to grab the visitor- something that will let them know that they can get a great offer that they wont find anywhere else but they need to know this at a glance - without reading the small text at the top of page .. The site looks great but as we all know people will hit a page and click off in a sec if they arent drawn in fast - give them a reason to stay!!!
great advice - thanks. I definitely know what you mean by quick click through rates - i will adjust this and appreciate the recommendation
