    Hi,

I'm thinking of starting a new website, with a new unused domain. If i do this and build up the marketing instantly (over 3-4 weeks) eg with banklinks etc, will this increase the chance of me being sandboxed?

What can i do to prevent a new site from being sandboxed?

I don't think it is possible to avoid the sandbox for competitive terms at all. I know there are some people who claim of being able to help new sites/pages avoid the sandbox, but I wouldn't believe them.

I have had a website since 2003, and changed it drastically in Jan 2007, and have seen most of its pages go into the sandbox. I get some traffic from Yahoo, but for Google, it seems that the pages don't exist.

I think you should try getting links and adding more content even when the site is in the sandbox...

Actually, sandbox can be avoided by just following natural methods, natural ways.

The whole purpose of sandbox is to reduce web spam. Your job is to convince Google that you are not here to increase web spam. It may take time to convince them, of course.

Just follow standard procedures as laid out by Google in their webmaster guidelines. That's the surest way.

    :)
