I'll be rolling out a new site within the next month (really busy with my regular job). This will be my first 'real' website and will have adsense-ized from day one. I was wondering what a definite must-haves/must-dos for new sites hoping to eventually make money off of adsense? From surfing the forums, i've come across 2 must haves: 1. Google Analytics 2. Google Sitemaps (google bot crawls quicker if implementd?) Any other must haves? What are you kicking yourself about for not doing earlier?
> Concentrate on getting good quality traffic. Analytics wont make you any money, it's just a statistics tool. Sitemaps will on the other hand help your site getting indexed quicker by Google.
I'm using google analytics instead of any stats kept on one of my servers to maximize cpu and memory for browsers, seems to be working ok.
