Hi guys. I started a new blog site based on the farm town game on facebook. From starting on 6/13 until today, I have steadily climbed up to 770 views per day, with about 400 unique visitors. I am ranked, according to google webmaster tools, 10th for farm town, which is on the front page. I guess I expected more traffic from being on the front page. 65% is coming from google. Maybe my search terms are not searched that much, but I was thinking it was a pretty popular topic. I have really no traffic to speak of besides search engine traffic. I have 10 or so each day from yahoo answers believe it or not. Suggestion, advice, anything you give. If you want to see google analytics or blog stats, let me know. go easy, my first post, thanks!
seems quite a nice traffic for a new blog as yours. try including more facebook-related terms.. people tend to search for facebook-related terms when they are searching for anything in facebook. a domain name like: facebookgames.com or facebookfarmgame.com wood be the best fit in my view.
I would suggest using Google's free keyword tool to check for related keyphrases. In the early stages not so much for so called "long tail" terms but more for "fat tail" terms. Figure out what the top 50 related keywords are and make pages take advantage of those opportunities.
