Hello all, I am in the process of setting up an astronomy site and I would like to offer various books through my amazon affiliation. I was wandering if this pays out much for any of you and if so, are there any techniques used to help boost sales? Any other ideas, tips? Thanks and take it easy, Dave fromTPCS
A good thing would be to recommend and/or to review the books in your content. If you just put a link to your aStore or a widget with some books on the side of your page, it will look like an ad and noone will click. If you want to have decent sales you really need to link your aStore to your content, and the best way to do that is through a review with a link like "Buy this book from Amazon" at the end. It's no magic. If you want to boost the sales, you have to sell the product, like in any other marketing campaign. Be aware that you're probably going to get only 4% of the sales, so if the books cost like $15 it's not going to make you rich quickly

Thanks for the tip. Yea, 4% isn't much but over time it will begin to add up...thanks for your comments. Take it easy, Dave from TPCS
Yes, but it bumps up to 6% if you sell over 10 items (I believe). I use it to review books in a variety of genres, and I do what uski said. I also say "Buy Secure via Amazon." I think people like the secure in there.
