    ok heres the site http://www.neworders1314.com

Generally i wouldn't post the addy till i had finished optimizing, however the site has already been online for a while (and is already indexed).

I'm especially interested in a design review..

As far SEO some things I want to redo (so you don't need to mention)
    - Fix Headers to be headers
    - Add some titles
    - Add alt and title tags to image links
    - Add Meta Description and Keywords

Please be critical I need a review, not a post that says simple "very nice looking site"

first of all its nice :) I like the colors

why is it only for 800x600? is there a reason for that??? you could have it cover lets say the 80% of the size of the browser

give some styling to the login form and make its background transparent, the font-size a bit smaller and the borders dark like the whole page's bg is

I like the hover effects on top they are neat

why is the logo only whitem I think you could add a color to it and have it more attractive :)

the scrolling news, they continue to scroll when I mouseover them, they should stop, people maybe dumb and wnat to read the title slowly :) so I think its better it stops rather than slows down

    comparing ABOUT US to HOME

the title with the orange BG, I know that the login form causes it to be bigger on home page, but though you either need it high or low, (the height I mean) I suggest it to be small and move the login somewhere else

What does the chain has to do with "Trade Services" :) Chain is more likely linking than tradeing

good idea having the link TOP that takes to the TOP

Contact us, maybe you'd better put some contact information like address or phone number??? besides your links in the bottom are lost on contacts page. is there a real reason for that?

Also you have "Top / Home /" in 2 places which are too close to each other, do you really need them

The words that you want to put an emphasis on, make them RED and BOLD, that'll put a stress on them, rather than having them only RED

yeah the overall design is good, yet the images load a little slow, also the domain isnt that hot, but still if it holds some meaning I guess its good

Well you should really consider expanding the size of your site, after you do that you can optimize the rest of the space left with some further content or advertising space.

First, I must say that you have a neat, professional looking website. Some of my comments relate to creating the first impression which is oh so important.

At the moment the site has too much gray and not enough red. It looks like your actually using orange but red would give a bit more punch. I'd also try to include a little more black highlighting.

I like the symbology of the handshake but would suggest a friendly smiling face looking directly at the camera for that spot and put a smaller sized shaking hand elsewhere. In each of the photos I'd try and get a decent splash of red. You should easily find suitable royalty free photos for $US 1 - 3 at istockphoto.com where you can search on keywords. If you like a photo which doesn't have red in then use Photoshop or the like to color an element red.

For the page background a subtle texture might give it a lift. Perhaps scanlines of alternating grays - not too different and only 1-2 px wide. A shadow around the main panel would give it a lift.

The welcome and login boxes bring in some red but, as a functional page element I'd pop them up in the top right corner. Visitors scan web pages from top left to bottom right so I'd shift the links away from the top right. Google AdSense help pages have an excellent diagram of the hot spots on a web page which is well worth a look.

The services rollover icons look good and I'd suggest pushing these up to where the red welcome block is now and reverse the rollover colors so that the red is showing normally.

Getting as much as possible above the fold is important so you might want to consider chopping off the top of the central box and having it run into the top of the browser window. Getting rid of one of the outer boxes in the central area will give you more room. There seems to be scope to squash up what you have on the top of the central content area also.

The words in the left column need to be higher on the page with keywords standing out. Perhaps have the key services as a list of dot points with the explanatory details just below.

Most of your fonts are small - experiment with with a variety of heading tags of larger font sizes. A tagline of about 7 keywords describing your site in the top left would be a good idea.

You might like to make the links at the bottom of the page red and see what small caps look like.

The logo in the top left could do with some color and an increase in size.

I havn't really focused on SEO but, I think you'll find most of the suggestions are SEO positive.

Best of luck with your endeavours.
