New site - Mega impressions

OK, I have 4 sites, all get about 300 impressions a day each.

Now, I just have a new site (picture rating site) so as you can imagine, I am getting like 1100 impressions a day.

Would google be suspicious of this? Because all my other sites are getting like 200 to 300 impressions for each site, and all of a sudden I am getting 1100 impressions from one site!

Not many clicks yet because its new, so its not like I am getting any clicks...

    Am i just being paranoid?

    THanks guys!

The numbers of impressions aren't a concern to Google. You can have a sudden jump in 5 billion impressions over a day and they wouldn't care. They only care about your earnings. But since you say your earnings didn't increase dramatically, they won't have any problems. But what they may have a problem with is the topic of your site. I would take down your Adsense ads, then email Google for permission first, because its subject may be treading dangerously close to the line...

Adsense can be placed on picture rating site , but make sure there are not nude pictures etc or else you are screwed.

Are you willing to bet his Adsense account on it?

Your site is new so you are probably able to monitor and review all photos uploaded. Once your site grows and you begin to get lots more uploads daily, it may be hard to monitor them. So, there is a possibility of some *not so adsense friendly* photos getting through. Just a thought. I would contact google as suggested above and also reconsider using adsense for this type of site. I like the site and I can see how you get that many impressions a day. The pics kept popping up so I couldn't help but rate all of them. :) I am not sure how well adsense would do on a site like this anyway. With the pictures you have on it, who is really looking at the ads? ;) Plus, with the lack of content, you most likely won't get very relevant ads.

Best of luck with you new site. Hope it does great.

    Hey, thanks for replies guys!

Yes, I did contact google, and told them I am starting a site like hotornot and ratemybody.com. They said it was fine, as along as it does not go against their policy. (pretty vague)

Everytime someone submits a pic, the only way it will make it to the site is if I approve it. I have complete control over that.

If you look at ratemybody.com, they have google ads all over the place, and some of the pics are pretty close to nude, but since there is no nudity, google is fine with it.

    THanks guys!

Yeah but look how much they're pushing the Adsense ads? My guess is that their CTR is abysmal, which is why they have resorted to stacking ads (two leaderboards on top of one another!). Picture-heavy sites are like image hosting sites -- it's all about the impressions, and the only smart way to monetize that is to use CPM banners.

Adsense can be placed on picture rating sites, provided there are no nude/adult/porn content.

Why should numbers be important here - Google isnt stupid.

I have one site with over 7,000 imps a day and another that averages 2 - why should I worry, thats just the nature of the net.
