I have finally completed the first two pages of my new site. There will be quite a bit more to come and it should be completed by saturday. Please comment on my site with critique, thoughts, and opinions. Thanks. http://www.ehingerenterprises.info/articlemarketing2.htm Benjamin
The page is way too plain.. I would get rid of the border because its an oudated look and replace your whole layout with a BG color for the content area w/ rounded corners on the table.
as 8everything said, too plain you need more colour (not too much as it could become eye straining) and the border could be like a 3px solid border
as stated, it's very plain and isn't very eye catching for the type of site it is. My best advise for an affiliate marketing site is to look at what everyone else in that arena is doing and do something completely different. It's really the only way to stand out with the audience. You want to "wow" them! Good luck!
Get a bg color some pictures that was to do with your site.....money maybe not sure just looks a little dry to the first glance good content though. Should be a good site! GOOD LUCK!
It actually looks so much like every other "I'll show you how to make money" site out there that I almost went blind to it. I tried to read it, and my body wouldnt let me. Kinda like becoming immune to google ads on pages. That being said, I'm reviewing code, not content. ichigo, he doesnt have a css file being called. View the page source, and it clearly has no call for it. Additionally, the page does not validate. I strongly dicourage the use of tables (but that's just my opinion); however, few people would argue that you should be producing pages that are valid. I think the reason this design looks so plain and old is that it is actually coded with old techniques. Just my opinion, take it if you want.
Would I be better off turning this into a free ebook and just designing a great squeeze page to get opt ins for the free ebook? Benjamin
Depending on just how much content you have, you may consider starting an entire blog community off your knowledge. You'd essentially share your proprietary knowledge and reap the benefits of ads based on traffic. Just an idea though.
It needs a little something. For example, if you created a nice header with professional graphics and then a footer that matched, it would give it a much more professional and appealing look, IMHO. Without that it looks a little cookie cutter, like those horrible adsense article sites. Good luck.
