Lmao i looked at the first post and went, wheres the link. Ill take a look now and edit this post with a comment Edit: okay ive taken a look, one thing i noticed strait away is the amount of text, there is a masive amount of text that might draw attention away for some people, i do understand that the site is based around news and information, but is there a way you can lower the amount of stories on each page. The logo doesnt really fit with the rest of the design, the colour orange contrasts with the other colours which is mostly dark blue. I also dont like the right hand side with ads and stuff, it's too big imo. That's jst my opinion though good luck with the site btw
I like the colour of the logo, it contrasts with the dark blue, wich is good. But the site feels cluttered. You can solve this by using more whitespace between the title of each newsitem and the short description, and the "read now, read later, ...." menu. Maybe an illustration for each newsitem might help too.
Have to agree with the first two... cluttered is the word. You should take a look at news.bbc.co.uk They have won awards for their layout, and its all news. In addition to that, you have a few missing images, distored photos and the ads are too big and don't line up with each other. The logo isn't a logo. It's a font with an effect on it and it has no correlation to the tagline beneath it. Finally, there is no reason to make your news stories open up in an external window. You should have history links (breadcrumbs) so people can navigate back easily within the same window. You could also stand to make your news articles narrower. The wider the column, the more difficult it is to read. Hope that wasn't too harsh... I'm a designer, so... if you want to talk about a template design, let me know.
