New site, doing okay so far

    I started a new site, http://www.makethissiteasuccess.com. I just want to know if you guys think it's a good idea. I've gotten a few links so far, I hope it works out. Obviously, I'm not going to put AdSense on it, but if I can get YPN I'll probably go with that.

    Too much text for your effort.

    Put some nice images inside the text.

    There are some similar sites like halfmehalfyou.com

    You need some real content on the site rather than just a whole lot of text. It just looks like you stuck a header and some text. You need to construct a proper design and layout, you also dont have any navigation links either because you dont have any other pages besides the index page. Overall i would suggest making a design and get some real content.

    Hi Kaabi. Nice idea. I just searched on Google and the # 1 site coming on Google has PR 5 and has 62 backlinks indexed. I think you can reach your goal easily. It has a link popularity of 482 on AllTheWeb, 1,910 on AltaVista, 1,062 on MSN Search and so on on other Search Engines...

    If you start with directory submissions, promote the site in a few search engines and get links, from forum sigs and other members, you will achieve your goal.

    I'm not doing any directory submissions or anything, I want this to be purely user-driven. I will add some images, but I'm not making this fancy.

    Wow...very ambitious trying to get to top of 547Million Google search results.

    As others have mentioned would be nice to put some pictures/caricatures.
    Since there is a lot of text, may be good to prominently summarise at top what your site is about.

    Way too much text.... nobody is going to read it. The main question is: what's in it for me if I link to you? You need to have a brief, concise answer .. and then maybe the site will work.

    Why? So then the site can get to the top, and you were part of it. That's why. And there's the contest thing, and the link of the week. Three reasons! And I added a summary to the top.
