New Site Better to Buy New Domain or Start on PR3?

    I'm starting a new website and I'm trying to decide the best way to do this.

    I have a domain I just bought that has the keyword in the domain that I was planning on using.

    I then realized I have a PR3 site that is 2 years old that is not in use. The domain is in the same genre so it could also be used.

    Which is better the domain holding the keyword or this older PR3 site?

    If I take my PR3 site and remove everything from it and create a new site will I lose my PR3?

    Use both IMO. One for linking and the other one for the main site.
