Arrgh, I just went to set up a new ad and instead of having all the information on one page I had to choose type -click new page - choose colour -click new page etc. Christ this is awful, I just want to get my code straight away! I guess they've gone for a simple approach, for the blogger market that they seem to be targeting, many of whom may not be as experienced as people who create their own sites. Anyway I give it a thumbs down.
Yeah, I hate this new interface too. Lots of clicking needed. I usually just edit the code values manually anyway.
Thanks for the info, I had a quick scout along before posting. That was two days ago! Damn I need to work more
Wow. I haven't made any new ad units in a bit so had no idea this change had taken place. I think Google is struggling to make the interface as easy as possible which I am not against. I suspect that the MSN AdCenter may be driving changes to the Google AdSense code creation - though I have not been part of the AdCenter BETA I have read a number of reviews that say the interface is extremely well defined and easy to use. Watch for more changes from Google in their offerings soon as I expect they will move to consolidate all their webmaster tools into one easy to use webmaster control panel. [Purely speculation]
the new way of selecting ads is pathetic, except the one new feature of selecting colours to your layout i.e customzing the ad layout,. other then that the ad selection is now a length process,.. I give them 2 out of 10 for this,.
I don't see how it can slow you down. The pages open without loading so basically you click instead of scroll.
i have no complaints whatsoever, and like edr, i didn't realise the change until i saw the thread on DP.
I found it much quicker when you only needed to access one page to put an ad unit on your site. You only had to scroll up and down to change any of your options instead of having to click backwards and forwards.
