So here's an idea. Wouldn't it be great if you had a website, and you could find out which keywords it ranks in the top 10 of google for. Anyone know if anything like that exists?
There are loads of them fella - other members this is your opportunity to post links either to yours or your favs other than > http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/keywords/ It seems LOL
Sounds like the dream ticket to me, it's exactly what I was looking for last week Everything I found required you to supply a list of keywords. Which is still incredibly useful. I guess the other method would be difficult to implement as well as unbelievably inefficient. It's probably not even possible simply due to the infinate amount of search strings required. However I someone is aware of a widget that does the job, I'd be very interesed to see it.
Ah I get you - LOL would be nice to have a service that could tell you exactly where you wer'e for every search term combination wouldn't it Thing is though both logistically & resourcefully it would I reckon have to be very expensive and also very very complicated in it's construction God and his hand on the wall brethren could probably sort it though LOL
Thanks R-D for confirming what I thought. As soon as I has posted my message, I saw yours and it had me wondering if I'd missed something garingly obvious. Just imagine if someone decided to do it. They'd have to allow for every combination of words, every typo. I don't think I'll start building it just yet
No worries fella I realised I had missed something in my original post RE what the OP -spock0149 was referring to and after your post/answer realised what the OP - spock0149 was asking after and looking for which is something that is in the realms of "The Hand on the Wall" in the Bible and the likes of "Star Trek" and "Charmed" and would need not only the riches of the Leprechaun's but something way beyond our normal human capabilities my bad Anyone else who knows better let us know as I for 1 will be fascinated!
I must be misunderstanding you then as SEORush gives info about what is on your site but does not seem to give exactly what you asked. It does sort of but then I was thinking more along the lines of not only what it ranked for but what else related it could/should rank for - admittedly probably a whole slightly different subject though. Would be nice to see a rep from SEMRush join the convo though
Haven't tried any of these or even seen them before. They must work well, I'd be interested in trying them out.
Well - what I was saying was that it would be great if there was a tool out there that could tell you where you rank in google for certain keywords. Take a look at http://www.semrush.com/info/citizenshipper.com+(by+organic)?db=us This shows me that my site ranks 6th for the term "online shipping market place", and so on for a number of other keywords.
OK will take a closer look but incidentally when I click on their affiliate program link it comes back with affiliate id berush.com/?ref=446430091 is that your ID Sir?
Google Webmaster tools will tell you what search terms your website has come up for. I don't know how good or accurate it is, though. It tells me, for example, that my site ranked for three keywords but I get traffic from a slew of other ones as well.
I have no idea how on earth you think Google Adwords tool would tell you this, but you are right about WebMaster Tools - in "Your Site on the web" >"Top search queries" it does basically tell you this. What it's actually telling you is what keywords you had impressions for and their position - so if you are no.1 for a term that nobody ever looks for, it won't show there. But you can go back 6 months - and also see what keywords drove an image search
Google Webmaster is a nice tool that shows what keywords people have searched for and where your site ranked
