Hello everyone, as some of you already know about my free link directory located at www.addyoursitefreesubmit.com, due to all of the submissions I figured I would create a new directory that is "paid only" so that links will remain on the same page for a lot longer for the best possible seo. Another reason is that there are a lot of professional sites that sometimes get pushed down the link categories due to all of the free submissions from lesser quality sites. The new link directory is named "3 Dolllar Auto" and is located here:

    http://www.3dollarauto.com/

I gave it that name since the price is a one time fee of only $3 dollars and after you have submitted your site and successfully billed your site automatically gets placed in the link directory. No reciprocal link required and you will not be spammed. All of the money that my sites generate gets put back into the site for more upgrades and advertising, for example you can view addyoursitefreesubmit on Yahoo News:

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/prweb/20050717/bs_prweb/prweb262307/nc:1440

I plan to do the same with 3dollarauto.com and since this site only came to life a few minutes ago the PR is 0, however I am sure soon it will reach at least 5 or 6 due to all of the promoting and search engine optimization.

If you would like to check out the site and be one of the first links to be spidered feel free to check it out and let me know what you think :) Thanks again.

    David

Thanks charless, did you mean that you added one to addyoursitefreesubmit or the new 3dollarauto directory?

No offense to you but paid only directories are stupid and the owners should go take a hike and get lost. A web directory's main aim should be to help the searchers and list as many quality web sites as possible, by allowing paid only submissions it's obvious you dont care about providing a searching service, you just want to help submitters which is the wrong way to go about it.

Hi Ernester, you must not be aware of the hundreds of free services that I have offered everyone for over 5 years. If you read my first post again you will see that I already have a free link directory located here:

    http://www.addyoursitefreesubmit.com/

I also stated how because of all of the 30 - 50 free submissions daily, new listings are pushing other sites off of the first few pages. So I created this new directory for professional webmasters who would like their links to remain on the top 50 list of a page so that they can gain the most exposure without being knocked down the list in a few hours. Quality over Quantity is the purpose of the paid directory since there will be many people out there who do not wish to spend the $3 dollars to gain more exposure and seo. I spend over $900 per month on advertising and other site related fees for my own sites believe it or not. Thanks again

Yes, that is WHY it is paid, by charging a fee, it encourages only the more serious webmasters (usually with higher quality sites) to submit. I think it is a fine idea.

So how did you come up with $3, any particular reason?

Thanks alph, hmm good question. Basically all I do is work 15- 20 hour days and try to come up with ideas that help others and myself at the same time so everyone comes out ahead. I wanted to think of a price that was reasonable so that I can keep the directory alive and cover the fees for advertising it, and so that webmasters who expect a quality directory wouldnt mind paying that a fee. It was a split second decision really, and thanks again for asking :)

David26, (http://www.3dollarauto.com/) I cannot seem to find the internet section (web directories, seo category, internet services, blogs and more..) I would suggest creating those categories you'll find lots of people want to submit in those categories.

I would suggest to remove the linkout script for the url listings, that way you're directory will become more interesting to submit to.

Some more suggestions; create some sort of description to each category, add dynamic meta to the pages and I would place the paid listings above the ads, people are paying to get in, but visitors to your site will click adsense. Not really fair imho.

Good luck with your new directory.

Thanks WhatiFind, I have a web directory located here:

    http://www.3dollarauto.com/business/advertising_and_marketing/link_directories/

    blogs are here:

    http://www.3dollarauto.com/news_and_media/weblogs/

You can find everything by using the search feature.

I was thinking about removing the url redirect but then the counter for hot listings would no longer work, but I suppose it is better that I do that then and remove the hot listings link. I will move the ads below the listings thanks for mentioning that, I really appreciate your ideas and will make the changes right away. I will think about adding descriptions as well, my directories are brand new and I have a habit of continually upgrading my sites all of the time, so I am sure that I will have all of the features that everyone wants asap. I will begin working now, thanks again :)

Ok, I have updated this site so now urls are no longer redirected and link directly to the site. I have also moved Google Ads below the site lists. Thanks! :)

Great news david, the site will be more attractive to people. I´ve submitted one of my sites to your new directory.

There is a way to maintain the hot-list, create a javascript that counts the downclick (onmousedown="return clk(**)" where ** stands for weblisting number. Don't really know how this works but onestop used this function in his directory.

Thanks, but I am not a fan of using a lot of javascript code since it sometimes conflicts with other javascript commands or results in html validation errors. Oh so you own dirspace.com? Very nice directory man I like it a lot, in fact I submitted 3dollarauto.com to your directory as well, please validate it when you can :) Thanks again :)

Just a thought, will it be a good idea to have a "Suggest a new category" in the directory? I have seem directories that have this option to allow user to suggest a new category if there isn't one that fits.
