    Sounds real for me ;)
Like you said, want to become #1 for SEO Online Casinos and Affiliate Programs and ready to spend $10000 for that. Bad? Probably not too many people will be interested, that's even better for those who will participate.

BTW what do you think of this one?

Are these SEO contests becoming the newest way to get 1-way links to the "contest" site - since each participant is supposed to link to the main site to become eligibile?

No, that depends on the seo contest. For example, the v7ndotcom elursrebmem doesn't require a link. Mine does but you can use NOFOLLOW and the target page is SE-blind (not indexed). OTOH, btdino and others require a link but they also have big prizes. IMHO they are all fair and you know the rules before engaging the competition.

It seems that people with alot of money are starting to manipulate SEO'ers as a great way to get lots of exposure by offering large gifts and rewards.

There is a new contest every day by the look of it.

I thought the SEO'ers were the manipulators ;)
BTW, not every contest gives large gifts, just half of them. But I would not call that manipulation.
At the beginning, these contests were more a way to learn SEO and of course a game. Mine, started two days ago, tries to stay in that spirit. In particular, it compares 4 page search engines and 3 image search engines. ISEO (Image Search Engine Optimization) is something quite new, even for SEO'ers and there is a lot to learn.

Hey cpayscom, I will play. But, since it seems like I will be the only contestant, why not just send me the $10000 and get done with it :D

10 or 20 grand is a small price to pay if you can actually get thousands of one way links to a few of your sites. After the contest is over though most of the links will disappear unless they try to continue their promotion. Anyway, the casinos have lots of money to spare on this type of marketing so I don't see it going away.
