I don't know what it is really showing, but it seems to be like the link: function except it shows every link. try to search for www..digitalpoint.com yes use 2 (two) periods after www The bolded answer will show www.digitalpoint.com but all bolded. strange?? Or did you already know of this? p.s. I am not saying anything authoritive, I accidently found this, but not sure if means much except now I can find all the links my competitor has.
For me it appears to be showing pages that have the text www.goodserver.com on them, and pages in that domain, not all the links to the site. That's what it looks like to me anyways. EDIT: I think he meant this search http://www.google.com/search?q=www..digitalpoint.com w/o the link: op.
almost, except that searching for +www digitalpoint.com and www..digitalpoint.com return different results. EDIT: These two searches do appear to be the same: "+www.digitalpoint.+com" <<- this looks for the text "www.digitalpoint.com" www..digitalpoint.com
So it is different than anything else?? I was typing in one of my sites and accidently did that and since I have the google bar installed it took me to a search. One competitor has maybe 4 pages of results using link: with this they show over 20 pages?? strange if you ask me. ---- adding: It seems to show lots of so called directories that show overture listings and the such.
