New search engine, seems promising.

    Do you know hakia ?

A new search engine, still in beta.

It's "meaning-based", using a semantic system and fuzzy logic.

I did some testing, it's seems not bad, rather revelant.

Did you give it a try, what's your opinion ?

I didn't like it. When I searched for "mappoint" www.mp2kmag.com did not come up but a couple old ancillary sites I set up did show up near the top.

Then you don't like Google neither, this site (mp2kmag.com) is #34 on Google, and #32 on Hakia :)

I'm not sure if only one search is enough to analyse revelancy.

Not bad but forum still comesup with both kinds of forum, something it shouldn't do if I read your post right. Good search but meaning based? Yeah right.

I like Surch much as well, but I'm not sure the "goal" is the same.

I mean hakia seems to rely upon another way to search the web, a semantic one (just do a search with the word "old" in the query and you get SERP with "age" in it).

And sure, it's not yet fully operative, but it's still in beta at around 35% accomplished dev.

    That's good news,

Do you think it's an objective criteria ? :)

Sorry, I'm not keen on it, it doesn't have a UK option and therefore ranks me much lower than G, Y and M .co.uk

Yes, but neither Google, Yahoo! or others search engines will be able to ranks all web sites in the first five :)

Other webmasters will find theirs sites ranking first and they will say "what a great search engine, very revelant !"

    As I said earlier I don't think it's a good criteria.

About the UK and other countries options, I guess it's will come later, it still in beta...
