The ***alpha*** test was over. Thanks for participating.

If you are sleeping or using the bathroom, do the results take longer?
Yes it does.. as currently there are only a few experts working for the engine.

What if you don't understand a given search query? / Do you ask for clarification?
We will post results as per what is best understandable ... the user who submitted can use the from on his search results page and seek for more clarifications.

How long must he/she wait for another answer?
Usually not more than 24 hours.

And if the user is not happy with the results, why would they come back?
We will try and make you happy by our personalized service.

    I applaud your concept.

You will however be looking at an insane workload if it takes off even just a little bit. I also have a search engine that only gets about 25,000 queries/day and I could not imagine manually emailing the relevant results to each user
within a reasonable time frame. The concept you have seems good, but I'm just wondering how you will be able to manage high volume- in any case, best of luck with your project~

Somewhat creative, but this idea is a flop. No ones going to wait for search results, or enter their email to do a search.

I don't think your idea of search engine will work. When I'm looking for something, I need that one at the moment- I can't just type in and then wait for your response. Moreover I'll have to sign in ... too long.

I'll better go for google or worst situation for ask.com !!!

yes that layout isn't to appealing for me.
Also it says that you submit your question and you will get back to us with some links related. BUT how long do we have to wait to get some useful links. That is why i like Google because you can search and get your results and even if you have to look at over 50 sites it still only takes under an hour and where with your site i think it may take some time to get a reply of some links, when in them 50+ sites we could have found are information in just a small time

Let me clarify again... this is a search engine which does not aim to replace google. Its a search human based engine. If you are unable unable to find something on the web .. this can help you.

at first i laughed... a human powered search engine! it reminded me of a ferrari where you can see the feet under the chassis, because it's human-powered. :)

but reading this comment, i have to say you have a nice idea. unfortunately, it's only clear to me because i am at DP and read this thread.

so what you should do is put something like "can't find it on the web? try us" or "the search engine of last resort" or something like that on your site. i think you also need "the human-powered engine" or something alongside your logo.

and you should also have instructions on the front page... most people just tend to type keywords, which in your case is useless. how about a textarea box instead of a search bar? so people can type more.

i suppose you are in oblique competition with yahoo Q & A... rather than google. but as a marketing gimmick, calling yourself a "search engine" is not a bad idea. i think you could also get away with charging people for your searches (if the search is successful).

good luck, if you keep tweaking it so that people understand what you are about, you might become successful.
