New Search Engine just launched globally - Searchii

I must say, I've fallen in love with the look of the website - especially the help pages. What a great look you have their.

The results are fairly relevant - the most relevant I've seen from a smaller search engine that's for sure.

Have you thought about providing niche search engines at all? You've got the technology there, and could prove a successful alternative to a general global search engine.

searchii is a local search engine, offered in multiple countries with global search capabilities. Our POD from the google, yahoo etc other than our search differences, is our company focus and our ability with that to react quickly. And again development pipeline around user request.

I love the preview feature, you should also add more languages soon!

 

why not use python or perl instead of php? i think the search will be faster..

 

we first started on the project years ago using the php framework. Since then we have had discussions about shifting, however as PHP has evolved we've stuck with it.

nice job but looks too skypish!
and plz do change the light-bright blue color of the search results... make a lil darker.
And do you accept sites for indexing?

 

another suggestion...i found searching takes a lil more time than normally wat search engines do... try and optimize dat aspect too!! Cheers

Mr. alex.. i found one small bug.. when i searched for inexed links of my site, it first showed 20 pages.
when i moved to the second page of the results, it showed 24.

Will be adjusting both the result title and URL as this has been requested alot. You will see the changes today.

Also we've uploaded the new olympic themed design. Comments so far have been positive.
