New Search Blog - Please Review & Check in IE

Please take a look at my new project - a blog dedicated to search marketing, website monetization and many more aspects of web design and promotion.

Do you like the look and feel of the site?

Can you check the site in IE for me as I see some potential issues with it in IE6 but don't have IE7 installed.

And what do you think of my first blog post? How can I make it more appealing to read and indeed easier to read?

Hi,

The website looks the same in both FireFox and IE7 (good) and works good. As for the design, I would make the background lighter. I think it's too present at the moment. Try lighter shades of blue. Your blog item, I think it's a bit too long and users avoid long bits of text generally. You could try to make 1 paragraph bold which tells a small summary. Then use up to two paragraphs below it followed by a 'more' link with the rest of the article.

Thanks for your opinions, I'll take your advice on board about the lenght of the posts as I agree it isn't exactly scannable.

 

I'm using IE6.

THe text is readable, just the right size. I love the header so much.

You have problems in your sidebar, it shows up below your content pane.

 

So it's an IE6 problem only by the looks of it, thanks!
