More changes: ========================================= Quoted from (http://www.cpashare.com): Being a small network i work with flycell directly and received an E-mail from my friend/affiliate manager Daphne from flycell letting me know about the new mma marketing policies that are going into affect 10/1/07 these policies pretty much fuck us and i don’t understand the reasoning of the new rules going into affect… Read for yourself: As of October 1, 2007, affiliates will not be permitted to host a “choose your carrier page.†All advertising must point to a page hosted by the Advertiser by October 1, 2007. ========================================= Basically affiliate "select your carrier" pages are no longer allowed (due to misleading/deceitful stuff). All affiliates must link DIRECTLY to the ringtone company's landing page. Flycell is the first to enforce this. Not sure why Azoogle hasn't mentioned this to affiliates? Anyways, this is sure to start a $hi storm.
that can explain why my convertions with Flycell dropped 80% since Oct 1. They might have done some changes with their PIN confirmation as well, since my leads for Flycell are almost gone.
How can this be done? I mean how can we point directly to the page hosted by the advertiser. are we going to use redirect? or what?
yeah, redirect all traffic directly to the offer link I actually find I got higher eCPM figures going with this method than using the carrier page, so this wont change anything for me.
Seriously... Time to disable campaigns... It's a sad day. (Not really though as they only made me very little)
I heard that there are big changes coming from an affiliate manager... pretty much another agreement page acknowledging the monthly fee... but nothing is set in stone, yet.
I was just reading an updated copy of the FlyCell compliance document and it says the following: "Affiliates will not be permitted to host a “choose your carrier page.†All advertising must point to a page hosted by the Advertiser" So yes, this looks to be official.
No I have heard that. That is different. What that will be is essentially a confirmation from the cell companies asking people if they agree to be billed x monthly. And the charge will not go through until they accept this secondary fee. I am aware of that, and when that starts happening, is kind of wait and see. I was interested in this lastest info that FlyCell is saying no carrier select landing pages. I think only a tiny fraction of my ringtones go through such pages so it is not a big deal to me at all... but I just want to be sure what is going on. Honestly I am not sure why they would be against this anyways.
Wow, that hurts so this means no landing pages anymore? Only re-directs? Good luck adverting on adwords..
