real estate and non real estate webmasters ... I am obviously not a designer but whatever categories or else would enhance it.

It will be low moderation and hopefully lots of participation.

Let me know how to grown it, the time is now, Real Estate Webmasters need a new forum that is unbiased and run by good members

 

You could have a catagory for
landlords with rental proerty.

Or renters looking to own

First time buyers

stuff like that

But you should spend 50% of the time in posting things on a new forum as that what gets people to post back - just trust me on that as no one wants to post to a zero cat..

Plus when you post leave the thread open i.e so what do you think / any ideas ect

I know nothing about it and am rather not going to prove that on my own forum

As to the categories ... I have someone adding them now.

I like your banner. It's clean, stands out, but it's not ostensibly showy.

Like the fisherman said, keep posting to keep members active. I have a new forum, around two months old, and already we have over 1,000 posts, and that is from just four active posters, visiting the forum daily.

Ideally, you need a few people who are experts in the field who can create posts which generate debate and communication.

I will have some experts start posting hopefully on Monday, already got traffic so Fisherman is obviously right, people don't just start posting.

Yeah, we're using PHPBB2 at the moment, but I really want to upgrade to vB.

 

Dude, vBulletin is awesome. A member here runs http://www.vbwebmaster.com/forums and it's a great place to learn on how to run a forum and whatever else is involved with it.

it's only $85 for a leased and
$160 for an owned license.

And the features are unreal.
It's also more search engine friendly, too!
