    Greetings!

Any news about the new publisher program that rumors say Google will launch soon?
What new method will that be? Something again related with video ads?
Or other method for showing ads?

    Do you know anything?

I think this "new program" is definitely the CPA network they are working on. It's been discussed a few months back. It will be something supplemental to the traditional CPC/CPM ads they are currently showing, but will be a seperate ad unit that can be used.

Yes, maybe that it, because it fits the description. I heard that was something that would avoid click fraud. Lets wait and see...

I don't think an AdSense CPA program would have important side effects to the current publishers. While I do agree that some advertisers (for which CPA is much more suitable than CPC) will focus mostly on CPA there are many kind of businesses where CPA is not appliable or not the right kind of marketing.

I'd be interested to see how contextual CPA ads worked out..... even though my history of trying to use CPA is lousy, only got cheap people visiting my sites ;)

hmmm if they can come up with something quality that would avoid click frauds would that mean that I (fraud free) would get more per click for my ads?

@adsensepublish: CPA = Cost-per-action. You get paid when the person who clicks on the ad downloads and installs something (like Google Referrals), buys something or becomes a lead for the advertiser.

The move from CPC to CPA will put 90% of SEO people out of business.

Most people survive off of redirecting traffic (many, if not most, by misleading site designs).

    This may not be good.

Nah, it's widly believed that that Google more seriously will move into the CPA market, that's what people are talking about.

Will Google then compete with other affiliate networks like Commission Junction and Azooogle if they're going to run the CPA business too?

CPA ads are a disaster for business news websites.

For example, question I reguarly put to CPA advertisers who try to convince me that I will make a fortune with their cellphone retail platform...

"Why would I run adverts for mobile phones on my site when all my readers work for mobile phone companies and have free company provided phones?"

...they go quiet at that point.

Well, the video ads have been around for a couple of months already. The only thing Adsense is still working on is the CPA network. They are busy with extremely limited trials, so this is what most people are on about...

Not sure I would use their CPA if their CPC pricing is any indication...

No matter what is it, we will see, it's pointless wasting time on talking about it now .

I want to be ready, and make according changes to my business plan (where to invest more resources). The first to establish them and adapt, reap the profits :)
