Friends, I am about to launch an audio product about making money on the Internet, it's big, and that's the problem. It will have 3 one-hour long segments, one 1.5 hrs, and my issue is providing the download. Because of size, if I self-host the files, my bandwidth will likely be sucked away if this is popular but I have purchased easyclickmate and easyclickguard, primarily to give my affiliates lots of tools, ie multiple sales pages, personalized pages and stand-alone links that can be used anywhere. I am taking this very seriously. Of course, I can house the files at e-junkie/or similar but then my easyclickamte/guard may not interface, from what I have read, because it needs the permanent download page which happens to change for each download at e-junkie and both easyclickmate/guard and e-junkie want to use their own Buy Now Buttons. Beyond programming, I am not a programmer and have been told the two/three won't work together which I question, this is my solution. Create a small device "portable" version for instant download on my server and provide manual e-junkie email for each sale within a few hours for the big version, they get both. Thoughts on this implementation, I know it is not ideal, better suggestion please. The portable version will be about 20mb and the full over 300mb. By the way, here is a coupon code for e-junkie for something like a 104 day trial, CRAFTBOOM, I am not associated with this, I make no money. Curious about the product and site. I am not ready to share but will let you sneak peak, this is NOT finished. Graphics are rough, text was created 3 months ago before recording, this page is a rough, rough draft. InternetMoneyPowerWealth.com By the way, I can't live link yet and not sure why, anyone see my issue so I can address, confused because I thought I way okay? Note, I am using png files now but will move over to much smaller files as I finish such as jpg/gif. Finally, I had considered HopGuard to encrypt your affiliate hoplinks but I am concerned with the easyclickmate/guard interfacing. Does the "protection" provided by easyclickmate, renaming scheme, actually provide the hoplink protection affiliates desire? I like the easyclickmate affiliate tools more than the fine folks implementation that created DLGuard but like their GuardHQ using the encryption. By the way, I also own moneypowerwealth.com and will probably place the scripts on that domain because I understand it adds another layer of protection for the easyclick products thus affiliates, is this true? Also, in the program I recommend buying more products such as mine and others to give you all support and I think this will help most people grow faster than reading free material alone. It is often our job to guide them when new and paid products tend to be concise, so again, I point them to buy more to speed up their learning curve, so you know. I am considering finding a way for you to be part of anivorytower.com (way under developed and I plan to create a lot of quick video tutorials for now), ideas are rolling, such as a profile page you can use or contributed material. This is down the road though but doable because I use Joomla 1.5. Regarding future requests for examples, testimonials and such, I hope to submit to ClickBank today or tomorrow, work my butt off sprucing up the loose strings and creating affiliate tools then some tutorials at my future main site mentioned in the program for ongoing learning, anivorytower.com, this weekend while waiting for approval. Lots left to do. If you want to have me PM you the details when I am ready, you can mention it here but I will create an announce thread when appropriate. Many thanks, Louis
I am getting a little help on the live signature, just heard, so I'll inform and add live links when I can. Louis
Hey, just becasue you can't help on this technical issue, don't feel like you can't comment on the design and such, input is always welcome, any. Louis
Save them as mp3 files...reduce the audio quality to mono and lower the bit rate...it is just talking right? You don't need super high quality stereo files for talking. Host it on your own site and protect the links.
jj407, How low is low that you find acceptable for mp3's? Yes it is spoken work only but it runs right at 4 hours total! Thanks, Louis
I received this PM instead of a thread reply (leaving username out): Why do you feel that you are qualified to teach people how to make money on the internet as a publisher when you yourself know very little. You are selling lies and false dreams. Do you have any morals or ethics? Make money legitamentally and then trasition to teaching other people how to become successful on the internet. Not only are you pathetic your sales page is also; how do you even expect to make a dime with it. Best of luck because your site is going to horribly fail... ....also about your bandwidth....always be ready for a ddos attack...take proper precautions..... Why do you feel that you are qualified to teach people how to make money on the internet as a publisher when you yourself know very little. Yes, I have never published but I am not giving publisher advice in the course. I am qualified because I have a lot of knowlegde many might gain from regarding the topic of making money on the Interent in general, this is a jumpstart program. You are selling lies and false dreams- No I am not, this is not a technical course or system, this is a course to get people off the ground to understand the basics that describes the topics many are confused on before they even get started. In addition, I have not shared the course with anyone so this is not even an opinion but a guess. Do you have any morals or ethics? Yes, I am even including a course outline before they buy. This is not a system or method, more a lecture about the basics of making money on the Internet. Make money legitamentally and then trasition to teaching other people how to become successful on the internet. I have done so for over 10 years and worked with many large companies (Fortune 50 type) and small businesses (local shops) getting them onto the Internet too, many are very successful. Not only are you pathetic your sales page is also. Thanks for the input, everyone has an opinion. This is a 1950's theme from Americana culture; it may not be your thing. That is why I am implementing easyclickmate, so you have other options, mine and yours. how do you even expect to make a dime with it Input, hard work, marketing and tweaking Best of luck because your site is going to horribly fail Oh well ....also about your bandwidth....always be ready for a ddos attack...take proper precautions.....This was closer to answering my question, which was a technical question, but still no help. Are you having a bad day or something?
To me the first impression of the page is really busy, above the fold is just a meld of different fonts, different colored fonts and not much space. I don't really like having the boxes down the side as it makes everything look a little crammed and when your trying to read the main body of the page, your eyes tend to jump over to the box at the end of a sentence which gets tiring (probably just me), to me it gets easier to read down the page when there are no boxes and there is just space. As for the mp3 files I don't know if there is a lot you can do apart from , as suggested, reducing the quality of the files and then compressing them for delivery. Hope your product does well.
Thanks terryd, This was a brain storm based on the 1950's theme, the theme is my concern overall, over the top? I agree with you across the board. I looked at a lot of 50's adwork and this was a common method, makes me think of saving bonds from WWII but I plan to follow your advice completely because I feel the same regarding busy. I plan to make it one column wide, tame the fonts and basically simplify. Any other observations? Remember this is a rough, rough draft created months ago before recording began to help me focus my creation. Using easlyclickmate, I plan to make a more traditional page too, several, but thought the home spun look might play well with middle aged US audeinces considering the economic situation that is always in the news. More designs on the way too! Thanks for your input across the board and for your input on the download issue. Thanks Louis
Personally, i like the 50's theme. It stirs up a sense of nostalgia that i have for those years...better times if you will. Either that or it reminds me of an old monopoly game that i used to have. I can't figure that part out. That said, i have no idea if it would convert with your target audience. Depending on their demographics, it could do very well, but you'll need to do some testing to see.
Thanks webtarded, I like the theme too and several friends found it fun. I think this page, when fleshed out, would appeal to the 40 and up crowd more so and probably more in tune with an American audience but I thought I would try something different for at least one look. I am also playing with an Uncle Sam idea. However, I am working on at least two other more traditional, non-themed ideas, in both a white and black version with slicker graphics for the younger generations. I am glad to see someone feels it may have some potential so I plan to finish and introduce the others ASAP because I know it probably leaves some cold, especially if you did not grow up with a black and white TV! Thanks Again
Thanks for the zip/rar idea, I did try again to make sure because I have read for years that mp3s will see very little file size reduction because they are already "optimized". I pulled up WinZip and WinRAR with the highest compression and the normal too just after your post, a 60mb mp3 only reduces to 58mb. Hey, it was worth a shot and I do appreciate the idea. If you know of something in the compression process that might improve this compression ration, do let me know, it was the best I could get running the basics. Thanks Again
I don't know exactly...I would just try dropping it down and having a listen, and see how far you can go without making it sound terrible.
Hey mate, going to try to rip this apart for my 999th post before my blizzard post.... 1. IT'S SO CHEESY!! In that 'on purpose' sort of t-shirt spoof way. I like it but hate it at the same time - I think getting virgin eyes (not IM'ers) to look at it would be par, you'll get hate from marketers as above... fuk'em - make it even cheesier to spite them 2. There are many factors that get taken into account on your pages cheesiness, and the branding is actually good but above the fold I still think it's a mess! Perhaps what I would do is get plenty of reference re '50's humor ads' etc. and make ONE focal point/pic/creative above the fold, perhaps a father son shot from those days and the dad has a quote bubble with more cheese like "son - you're going to be a millionaire with daddy's strategies" or something... You jump into your pitch from the first word onward, scale it back and formulate it so the first impression isn't so 'legal' looking (almost thought it was an outdated stocks/bonds investment/scam...), but more humorous and or real. 3. It's rather novel (the branding) - yet the internet is tech/future/digital... it's hard to contrast 'make money online' with the '50's theme' - it's such a contrast that perhaps the difference can play in your favor again re humor/value (the good gOLD days..., or wild wild digital west type stuff - perhaps remind people that their money use to be redeemable in gold..). I think you have a challenge in front of you with this and the look forward to seeing how you mesh the contrast. 4. I don't see: * Buy now buttons * Bonus material * What they get all wrapped up in one box with final incentives * The refund policy * Enough graphics/other media to ease up the read. 5. I do see: * Room for improvement on your text formatting * That empty right column after the initial scroll is wasted space - go site wide after the content in the right column ends * Graphics are pretty shot - too much photoshop effects/bevels/shines - 50's didn't have those... * Enough relation to the time period with scenarios/pics - (like a hot blond black/white photo and 'my daddy put me through college with interweb moniez' or a nice 57 chevy with 'paidkash' on the license... have fun with it - stretch your campaign theme as far as you can). * Odd white space in FF (might want to check that) * Bad use of fonts and bolding on long parts of the copy - try to go one or two font sizes smaller, and try arial/helvetica or other san-serif. I couldn't read the whole thing, and for others that may be short on time, you need to highlight/bold/italicize/format the read to be a little more 'summarized' for skimmers... Overall - Going in the right direction - don't be shy to go to istock.com or other stockhouse and grab like 10 wicked 50's shots, and build funny/great text bubbles and or campaigns on them... maybe watch some I love lucy to get inspired or even use lucy (or a wannabee lucy) as your front person... I would make people laugh as much as possible if I was running this, has so much cheese appeal... Sorry I couldn't help myself!! Cheers, work that creativity. N. **PS - With those audio files: You could go down to: 22khz mono 8 bit ^ This should cut your file size by 75%. If it sounds bad go up to 32khz.
Wow - Norb makes a better landing page in 10 minutes then I could in 10 hours. Looking forward to that 1000th post NCMEDIA!
