    you mean they are going to protect your domain only if you pay extra? godaddy blows.

    Godaddy and other registrars have good secure domain locking options.
    99.99% of the time your domain will not get ripped off by most scams.
    But someone will always find a way to get something that does not belong to them (rip it off another)
