I just put the site online a few weeks ago. Getting really good feedback from friends, but I'm interested to hear some non-biased opinions on what you guys think. The site is called Kid Romantic .. http://kidromantic.com The idea for this website struck me when I recently found a shoebox containing letters girls sent me in middle and high school. I kept this box for years cause I didn't want my parents to find it more about it here: http://kidromantic.com/about/ Overall, I really like the design, but I see some potential flaws that I would love to get your feedback on. The content submission piece in the right sidebar... Is it intuitive enough? easy enough to read/use? I'm accepting submissions from the form, through email, and fax hoping to make it as easy as possible to have visitors send in their content, but I'm not sure the interface or message is clear enough. I've thought about removing this from the sidebar and making a step form on separate pages to maybe make it easier. I've integrated the new facebook like feature and opted for direct links after each post for sharing posts on facebook and twitter rather than the general share this or add this buttons. Not sure if I also should include digg/reddit or others - you guys have any thoughts on this or ideas that allow people to share articles easier? Should we take the design astetics off those share links and make them more branded to the individual services? For promotion .. I've setup a facebook page, twitter account, and running google and facebook ads. I'm trying to engage some people on twitter that are talking about similar topics. I'm also debating on sending out personal emails to friends asking them for submissions vs blasting out one email to everyone I know asking for submissions. Obviously the personal emails will take a while, but I think the result would be more beneficial in the content I'd get and the relationships I could reconnect with. Thanks in advance for checking out my new project. Greatly appreciate any feedback you guys have. I'll keep this thread updated with any changes that I make. Cheers, Gerard
