A company I do business with sells their own air purifier which sells very well so I know their product is good and has been in the market for quite a while. I talked to them today about becoming a distributor. If I collect the customer's information and pass it along to them for processing I collect 25% of the sale price. If I process the credit card I make 40% of the sale. These are expensive air purifiers ($350 - $500) so 25% and 40% is a nice amount, but my question comes down to how to sell these items. I have two options as I see it: 1.) Build web site with lots of content regarding air purification, etc. etc. Build links. SEO. Get ranked. The main problem with this option is that it takes awhile for all of this to take place (yes I'm a little impatient.) 2.) Build a simple web site (10 pages tops) with relevant content and sales data. Use AdWords to promote the site and start making money immediately. The main problem I see here is that I don't have a lot of extra money laying around for PPC marketing. I thought about eBay, but you have to agree to not sell the item below retail price. What would you do in this situation? Any other ideas I haven't mentioned?
1st would be research, find out if people really buy these purifiers online then check out the keywords searched to buy these, target them, do a seo also calculate your total expence before doing the deal tht would be website + seo + promotion costs + hosting cost
Well said, rep added. You could also do both (or multiple) sites each targeting a specific audience. - language - age - income levels - location etc
