After a thorough online and offline test, I’m releasing my latest product... "The Cold Sore Treatment" The product is based on the true experiences of a dermatologist based at Los Angeles, USA. This is purely the result of 8 years of study, research, trial, error and experimentation. Now, his extensive clinical research experience is finally unleashing onto Clickbank. Hello Everybody! The thread shows it has about 100 plus views but no single reply has been published here. As this is my first product, I'm looking for your constructive reviews too.
ok I'll give some feedback.. sales page is ok.. not great but its better than some. I would find a more relevant header graphic as the pic of the Dr and the kids seems way off base.. something with a before and after shot would be perfect. Usually I tell publishers to put the price up but in your case have you tested any price points as $47 seems kind of expensive for a ebook on coldsores considering the average cost for a medical script / treatment.. Usually my theory is based on calculations over 1 yr. ie: Medical treatment cost = $100 / yr then the eBook shold be about 30 - 40 %.. the other publisher on CB : > banishcoldsoresfast.com is priced at $29.99 which sounds more realistic.. As its ur first product I guess its to be expected aff materials are kind of light.. Good luck with it though.
Some feedback: 1. Not loving the graphics. 2. Are you really a doctor? 3. "Scientifically proven" - so where are the pictures of it working? Where's the actual scientific proof? 4. Your copy doesn't always flow very well. The opening paragraph for example has a few stumbling blocks which slow down readers. You also switch from first person to third person a couple of times ("I" -> "He"). 5. "True Testimonials From Real People"?? Why not something less salesly, like "What my customers are saying:" 6. Your testimonials read like they're fake (they all have the same writing style as the copy). Are they? 7. There's no justification of the price. That's not always necessary, but if people aren't buying because it's too expensive, it could help improve conversions. 8. Offer some more affiliate tools. Banners is just not enough these days - include reviews, PPC keywords, emails, templates etc. 9. Looking at your product stats, it doesn't look like you've made any sales at all, yet you say it converts 1:30. Do you have any proof to back this up? Best of luck with the product, cold sores are a real desperate problem, so this could be a big hit.
Agree with most of the points above. In particular the price. $47? I can go to the chemist and get cold sore cream for $10.
It have some potential but just wondering whats the qauality of the actual product. Do you have any review copies? Im not going to promote such a product to drown in the refunds! Can I have a re
Thanks for your comments. I'll work on it. Regarding the price, You mean to say $47 is a high price for a cold sore niche? I too agree with that opinion but there some issues on that pricing. Anyway what could be the best price for my product?
You could experiment with $37 and $27 price points...they seem to gather the highest conversions among health products.
Best thing to do with the price is test it. Set up a test for 3-4 different prices, and see which earns the most per visitor (not necessarily the highest conversion).
Hello, can i have a review copy or not? If you dont help your affiliates they wownt help you. I obviously can buy and then refund but dont let me go trough the hassle.
Just sent a PM to web_18designer about the email address. Review copies will be definitely available to potential affiliates.
No refund is impossible. But if you buy yourself, then it could be like that. If it is the result of 8 years of study, research, trial, error and experimentation. The man who owned this technology wouldn't tell his secrets on the cold sore to the public. We know he hope his effort gets paid. SO how you know his secrets? 1:30 is not a high conversion, 1:10 could be. It is a time of swine flu, maybe they need it.
The product is genuine and serves the purpose. So I expect less refunds. The secrets are disclosed by the real dermatologist as he's a close friend of mine. Moreover, I've solved my cold sores problem with his treatment.
lol I would love to know haha, man if most of the stuff I promote converted like that I would be a lot richer
I agree with others.. sheesh if I was getting 1:30 conversions on anyproduct I would be pumping as much traffic as Adwords could deliver.. 1:30 is excellent.. Markov.. drop your price its too expensive for this niche.. $29 seems about right.. you can set up multi price points on CB so perhaps do that and let affiliates choose which one to promote. I know some affiliates dont do anything under $40 - $50 so gving the option might be a worthwhile.
I assume Affiliates will not promote the product if the commission is less than $20. So I strongly believe $37 is a good price.
Will give this one a shot, as I get those things. They are horrible, so I think I could sell it well. A better price would be lower, like $9 or $19 then it would sell a lot more bringing you more profit.
