Just make 301 redirection before the pagerank update. It's a commonly known bug in google's algorithm.

Do you ever read messages before you reply to them? The OP was bringing to our attention that the PR is fake, not promoting the directory!
Look at this one: http://www dot tigsd dot com/ --- its a faked PR from a PR7 site --- look at the $ they have raked in with the scam as a bidding directory. I wonder if they can be sued for fraud.
Yeah, fake PRs are a scam. But Google's whole concept and implementation of PR is a scam too. Google could fix the fake PR with very little effort. They seem to want the attention and controversy that it brings. Google speaks out of many different orifices.

I really hate linking to a fake PR site, so check out csspal dot com, another fake? It would seem as though most of the PageRank 'checkers' can be easily fooled too.
I checked it on my domain evaluation site www.edomaincheck.com and it comes up pr8 but it's not a new site it's over 3 years old. It does seem to have a high page rank for only having less than 300 backlinks and 600k alexa. This guy must work for google or something.
