With the new PR update, it looks like the Digital Point forums are going to be PR6! http://digpagerank.com/index.php?url=forums.digitalpoint.com&dc=18 This is bad news! This PR update is the WORST!!
That sucks for DP for sure. For me it is good though. It has be going to a PR4 WOO HOOO my first time ever!
I get PR7 but I agree with aaron. He will not lose much sleep because he is not going to lose any visitors over that. side bar: Mine went from PR0->PR3 so far .....
Well, DP has already built up a good number of members now so I am pretty sure that members here would not leave DP just because their PR dropped. Even if it goes down to PR0, I would be here unless I get banned or something. It is not going to make any impact on DP as forum.
Yeah... the toolbar is now showing me a PR6 for DP. I don't think Shawn cares that much though. --Joe
yeah, i don't see a reason why Shawn would care at all...though it is interesting how tons of sites are going down this update...wonder if it has anything to do with all the talk that's been going on about paid links....
The update is ongoing at the moment, but at this point in the update, it has dropped. My profile is seemingly a PR2 now though...so maybe the main index will go back up to 7. There is really no way to tell till it's over. Though I do agree, that the PR here at least is rather secondary. Most (all?) current members will stick around, and more members will still show up daily.
IMO it's a big slap in the face for Shawn whose worked hard for this forum. I do not like Google's new algorithm with this update.
look people ... PR7 or PR0 ... Shawn is not placing a link to anyone on the forums ever.... Also the forum is a users supported ... so Shawn really doesnt needs any PR.... PR is google way of taking up sites ... Believe me its nothing to do with dp's SEO work. Its already so vast. Let's wait till the PR dust settles down
I am holding and selling PR4 Domain. Some of them PR4 - > PR3 . Will the PR increase later ? Thank you for answering. Kam
Maybe some of the 17 posters before you in this thread? If no one cared about PR, then I'm sure the Google forums wouldn't have so many update threads
