New Post Indexed in 15 Minutes

    Today i am surprised to get some traffic from google to a post which i posted 15 mins earlier, may I know why it took such a short time ?
    Usually it takes 1 week for my other sites.

    this isnt at all unusual, its less than 3 minutes with a trusted blog that pings

    yes.. it's normal. For me, new posts will index in less than 1 MINUTE

    is the automatic ping like in wordpress setting is so helping in indexing?

    No not from analytics its in the google search result just in the screenshot tendulkar2 showed to us. Below I have also attached a screenshot.

    Now guys thanks for responding and I got the point that its quite natural... :p

    I've been noticing the active listings during the past few months and didn't connect it to the pings. Now that makes sense. Is it only wordpress? How do we get to ping our blogs onto the search engines?
