can any one expose the new policy of china against search engine. After deep thinking i found the two reason
behind this type of action taken by china.

1 => China try to remove international market for its country.
2=> China make it secure it self against the cyber war.

what you thinking about this mater. This is good are bad.

Have you ever read the news throughly? The new China rules has nothing to do with specific to search engine business but for every international companies in China. They have forced these companies to give them many privacy information and some ridiculous rules (WTF with given employees photo and postal address and other privacy information).

Google / GoDaddgy / Yahoo are already leaved from China and I just wonder if Microsoft may be the next victom somehow.

Rumor has it that chinese goverment attempted to hack Google back in december 2009 not sure if this was true but may have had something to do with why Google closed the chinese version of it, not alot of search engies are liking china because of what they have done with they're stupid ridiculous rules as Sxperm said.

It appears they have been framing policies against the companies with a single objective in mind... i.e to regulate/censor all information flowing to/from their country in order to control the news/information reaching their citizens! :(
They seem to be doing it for the government's own good... of course under the pretext of benefiting the Chinese people! :(

    Regards,

Yes, they're not only trying to protect their market, they're pushing way too far...

The underlying reasons and cause of this all is the fact that the Chinese are heading into a "trade war" and the USA tries to cool them a little, because if the export/import with China ceizes things will become real bad.
China is willing to dump the USD as a currency and to push it's yuan, to summarize it. The moves against Google and others are just outcome of this strategy.

    Read: http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentis.../07/united-states-china-currency-manipulation
    ( original is here: http://www.project-syndicate.org/commentary/stiglitz124/English ).
And yes, that's the media I work for, no spamming, it's relevant on the topic.

And if this doesn't cool off the so called economic crisis so far will look like a walk in the park...

None of Above. China is developing its own industry to compete india..thats why for time being they are just killing competitors.. seems its their official policy.. is not cheap.. everyone try to do this..
dont you try to defeat your web competitor?? What if you get authority to close your competitor server?? you will definitely try to kill your competitor

You can't underestimate China, they are quite good in hacking.

Most of the China forums I searched are mostly about hacking.

Its probably another way of controling the flow of information to the people. We all know the chinese governments past records and they are very committed to keeping things away.
If they are really asking for photo and postal details of all employees, I think they have gone overboard.
