Hi guys Where has the phrase do follow suddenly come from, links are either follow or no follow surely ? One of those little things that annoys me lol Woc
rel="nofollow" is the norm but on some blogs you can force a do follow link using rel="follow" or rel="dofollow"
If saying please to Google really worked I'd have a PR10 site Try rel="dofollowprettypleasewithsugarontop" saying DOFOLLOW is just easier then saying a non-rel="dofollow" or 'this link is followed or just LINK (which is annoying as the reader will not know it's followed status). Hence the term DOFOLLOW being coined, so now there are links, dofollow links, and nofollow links. Knowing the etymology of techie terms is sometimes a nice thing, and better yet, the evolution of words is MUCH easier... can you imaging having to not make up words? Heh, we'd all be speaking Sumerian or Chinese or something... this way, it's much more confusing
Best reply ever! Bravo! To make the long story short: <a href="site.com" rel="nofollow"> = nofollow link <a href="site.com"> = do follow link
