Hey everyone. I've been a paypal user for a long time now. I noticed that the last of my few monies received have charged me a fee? If I remember correctly, you were NOT charged any fees. That is, if you had a personal account and received money from a user with paypal funds? But, lately I've been charged a small fee for each transaction? I'm confused now, were there new Paypal policies set or something? Normally, I only got charged a fee, if a user sent me money via CC or debit.
Lots of threads in Payment Processing have talked about this. You should do a search first A good one: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1368726
thanks for the info. Yeah, the last few mins, I've been looking around. I was a bit shocked today to see a few of my payments charged a fee. I never knew PP added fees to personal account too now. For a $3 transaction I was hit with a 50 cent fee.. LOL come on paypal? are you serious?
Well for the longest time, the NEVER charged me fees. I don't do lots of transactions, usually here and there once every few months. I've been with them since 2004? Never got charged a fee with personal account till this month. Maybe they charged me earlier, but I checked my account today when I was renewing my domains. I noticed I got payment a few times this week from people and I lost out on each. I was more angry with the $3 payment. They take 50 cents off. I mean come on... it's $3 LOL. Guess I might have to withdraw old funds and move somewhere else. It's sad, because lots of people I buy/sell from still use paypal.
Well, they keep changing their fee structure as they know that there is no one to compete them. So, they do it whenever they want. - Digital -
in previous fees stracture personal account holders get money without fees charge. now paypal decided to deduct fees. I think it doesn't effect people who have premiure or business account.
Well I may upgrade to premier than, because what's the point of having a personal account if fees are charged? I hate to say it, but PP should charge BUSINESS accounts. I only do transactions here and there. I don't do it on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. And, yet I get charged? Total BS.
