Wow probably the most obnoxious form of advertising there is. This basically goes against everything ever said about making a website "usable". People don't want to be bombarded with random audio when they go to a website.

I thought the same thing when I first heard about it. After reading everything and realizing that this is a great way for some of those big time advertisers that are losing out because people don't watch commercials anymore and they DVR everything to be seen.

Why not try and capture some of that revenue, the PPP ads are only 5 seconds and they are only played once to a visitor, so it's not like every time you go to that site you keep hearing it, or each page within your site, enless I guess you put the code on every page.

Sign-ups are now and the ads start being heard Feb. 1 2008. I guess we'll see what happens. I just thought some webmasters might find it interesting.

I honestly won't visit a site with random audio, ads or not. So perhaps this would work with some sites, but I would worry about the type of people who might be leaving instead of dealing with the ads.

it would probably work really well on myspace. They always have annoying audio playing.

To be honest the layout looks like a common scam but I dunno if it is. It sounds okay but a bit intrusive and is not entirely good for low bandwidth users e.g. dial up.

I do agree with some of the comments, The ads will work good with MySpace and some of those pages get a lot of visits so there is a chance to make some money.

I just think there could be some big time advertisers spending some good money this way and why not try to capture some of that revenue through your site.

It might not be good for some sites, but could be really good for others.
