New pages linking only from Sitemap

Say I have a 30 pages website, and I'm comfortable with my visitors surfing these pages. I don't want changes on the pages.

It is possible to add all the new pages linking from the sitemap only?
My plan is to have about 500 new pages indexed from the sitemap, and then search for links to achieve SERPS and some organic traffic.

    Any experience with this?

    Thanks

500 pages linking from sitemap is way too much. you might do a sitemap with broad category and under the broad categories, you can have there rest of the pages. a blog category archive is an example where there are several categories on the main pages and under each categories, there are related articles.

If you want to add so many pages to the sitemap (which i wouldn't recommend) then split it up into pages.

here is best solution for that, create page and put those links in pages. for example
if i have all the 500 pages related to webmaster topic than i will separate those pages in 5 group and than create 5 html pages give proper name which is most relevant to your pages. put one paragraph containing information for that topic and below that paragraph put links of those 100 pages. it must look good, you can create table or anything to put it properly. so do it for all 5 pages and put those pages link on sitemap. so once those 5 pages will index other pages will also index.

i hope this will be one of the best solution
let me know if you need any help
    all the best

I am more curious where you are getting 500 pages from all at once? If it isn't original/unique content it wont help you much.

Dan, I'm doing the same thing on one of my older sites. My goal is to use those feeder pages to drive traffic to the main site. There is no problem doing this since those pages are linked to from within your Website. However, search engines do not like sitemap pages that contain more then 100 links. It may set off a spam or link farm filter if there are too many links.

The solution jg abad speaks of is a preferred solution. In my case, as I suspect yours, the goal is to drive more traffic to the main site without disturbing existing rankings. I've done this before with sitemaps without problem. Just keep your sitemap pages at a max of 100 links and have a page 2, 3, etc., if needed. Of course you can categorize it as well.
